By Social and Solidarity Economy we understand activities by enterprises such as cooperatives and/or social purpose businesses, associations, mutual assistance organizations or foundations that produce economic goods or services.

The ethics of these activities are reflected in the following principles: •  Aiming at service delivery to the community or the members rather than at profits; •  Autonomous management; •  Democratic and participatory management; •  Pre-eminence of people and work over capital when redistributing revenue.

All around us, there are Social Entrepreneurs trying to solve society’s most pressing social problems with innovative solutions. Their initiatives have high potential for job creation and integrate the pursuit of values and meaning being incorporated to the social and solidarity economy.

Our Solution: A new architecture

In 6 STEPS: 1. Creation of a not-for-profit organisation (NPO) 2. Inventory of all existing social entrepreneurship initiatives 3. Cooperation with local unemployment bureau: retrieval of statistics concerning the unemployed youth by municipality and by skills 4. Matching “supply-demand”: Integration into a social network designed specifically to bring together the existing initiatives with young employment seekers 5. Development and support of training and capacity building activities 6. Enlargement of the network between municipalities 7
