Energy Conversions

A change from one form of energy to another is energy conversion.

When you wind a rubber band on a toy airplane, the rubber band has elastic potential energy!

In photosynthesis, light energy is used to make new substances.

Your body uses the chemical energy in food to make kinetic energy.

In a hair dryer, electrical energy is changed into thermal energy to dry your hair.
