Conclusion• Stigma and discrimination remain the most

important factor for social neglect of TB patients and others.

• Lack of sensitization and counseling is not uncommon in TB sufferers. Patients must be educated on how to cope with the treatment of the disease to avoid default and development of MDR-TB or XDR-TB.
