How CFC Changes College Students

Calendar of ActivitiesThe program lasts for three weeks in total, plus a few days of travel time on either end. Each camp will include three weeks of academic classes, sports classes and competitions, culminating in an award ceremony at the end of camp

The dates apply to programs held at both Hoa An High School and Thuan Hung Middle School.

Camps 1 and 2, 3 and 4 overlap by one week to accommodate the schedules of Vietnamese middle schools as well as Vietnamese and American universities. There are enough classrooms at the middle school sites to enable two camps to operate simultaneously, using opposite schedules.

SNAPSHOT OF A COACH’S SCHEDULE

SAMPLE COACHING ASSIGNMENTS:

Breakfast is offered near the housing facility at 6:30 AM, lunch at 11:45 AM, and dinner at 6:00 PM during the camp. Local cuisine is served.

On the nights of Sunday through Thursday, there is an hour long coaches meeting after dinner to go over lessons or competitions planned for the next day, as well as potential improvements to teaching methodologies.

On some days, coaches make visits to students’ houses after the camp sessions.
