Alfonso Alcalde, CFA is Senior Vice President in EY Chile’s Corporate Finance practice. During the latter part of his career, Alfonso has focused on providing M&A advisory assistance to private equity and strategic buyers and debt advisory to small and medium cap companies. Prior to joining EY Chile, Alfonso was Senior Analyst and Research Associate at Bicecorp. Alfonso has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a Master of Science in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. Alfonso is also a CFA charterholder.

Hugo Aravena,‎ CFA, CAIA, FRM is Director of Portfolio Solution and Asset Allocation in BTG Pactual Chile. He is responsible for portfolio asset allocation, and portfolio solution for advisory services and discretionary accounts of wealth management clients. Hugo has 12 years of professional experience in Investment Banking. His experience includes Portfolio Manager of Equity, Balanced Mutual Funds, Derivatives and Liquid Alternative Strategies. Hugo is MSc Mathematical Finance University of Birmingham, MSc Finance University of Chile and earned a bachelor degree in Business at The University of Chile. Hugo is a Professor of Wealth Management and Advanced Portfolio Management at the University of Chile and an active member of CFA Society Chile.

George Atuan Ghneim, CFA is the Head of Planning and New Business Development at Entel. Prior to Entel, Mr. Atuan spent 11 years in various engineering and financial leadership positions within Moneda Asset Management, Anheuser Busch Inbev, The Toronto Transit Commission and Winpak. He holds an MBA from The Schulich School of Business, a Bachelor in Applied Science from The University of Toronto and is a CFA Charterholder since 2013.

Jose Rabello, CFA is a Senior Investment Analyst at Moneda Asset Management, a leading boutique asset management firm with regional focus in Latin America (US$7.0bn of AuM). José supports Portfolio Managers in all Latin American strategies such as: High Yield funds, Investment Grade funds, Local Currency funds, Small Cap Equities funds and Large Cap Equities funds. Before joining Moneda he worked for 4,5 years in the structure/corporate finance team in Itaú BBA covering local and international debt issuances across Latin America. Mr. Rabello is a CFA Charterholder and holds a bachelor´s degree in Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo.

Pamela Auszenker, CFA has over 11 years of experience in the financial sector. She has worked at Bci since 2007, holding different positions as Analyst, Senior Analyst, Chief Analyst, and in 2010 she became Head of Equity Research and Strategy at Bci Corredor de Bolsa, where she is in charge of 8 strategists and analysts. She previously worked as a research analyst at Principal Financial Group. Pamela has a Business Administration degree at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, and holds the CFA charterholder.

Rodrigo Leiva, CFA is Partner in PwC´s Risk and Regulatory Services for Chile. He is based in Santiago and has 20 years of experience in financial risk management and actuarial services. During his career he has worked both, within and outside of the Financial Services industry. His areas of expertise are risk management infrastructure, valuation of financial instruments, risk compliance, embedded value, among others. Rodrigo has also participated on most recent local transactions in the financial industry for Chile, including the largest banking merge. Rodrigo holds a degree in Commercial Engineer from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile as well as the following certifications: CFA Charterholder, Financial Risk Manager; and Certified in Quantitative Finance.

Daniel Vargas, CFA, serves as portfolio manager of latin american fixed income at Moneda Asset Management. He has 14 years of experience in global investment management and research. Prior to rejoining Moneda, Mr. Vargas was an equity research analyst at Neuberger Berman/Lehman Brothers in New York City covering global technology stocks. Previously, he worked as a Latin America corporate credit analyst at Moneda Asset Management (2000-2006) in Santiago, Chile where he served as a senior member of the Latin America investment team. Mr. Vargas holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, and an industrial engineering degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Inderpreet Singh, CFA charterholder with 7 years of experience in financial consulting, M&A advisory and investment research. He started his career in 2010 as Business Analyst with Evalueserve in New Delhi, India. In Evalueserve, he used to help financial institutions with financial modeling and investment research. For the last four years, he has been working in Chile. He worked two years in Evaluserve’s office in Viña del Mar, leading a team of analysts for an investment bank client in United States. Since October 2015, he has been with KPMG Chile’s Deal Advisory team in Santiago, providing valuation, buy-side and sell-side (M&A) consulting. Sebastián Ramirez, CFA is Equity Manager in Toesca AM, a boutique asset managment firm formed by ex Celfin/BTG employees/partners managing over (US$500Mn of AuM). Prior to Toesca AM, Sebastián worked as a senior analyst for the Chilean Equity Team in BTG Pactual for over 4 years, covering Utilities, Telecom, Forestry and Industrial sectors. Prior to that, he worked in the Latam team of Celfin Capital covering Real Estate, Infrastructure and Retail and was portfolio manager of a mutual fund focused in infraestructure equities in Latam obtaining a “Premio Salmon” in the Latam category in 2012. Mr Ramirez is CFA Chartholder since 2016 and holds Economics degree from University of Chile.

Marcel Marchant, CFA Marcel Marchant worked for Larrain Vial Asset Management between the years 2011 and 2016. He started as an investment analyst for the international equity funds, to later join the Multi Assets team and become one of his portfolio managers. Prior to this role, he worked for more than 10 years in Antofagasta Minerals and two years in Latam Airlines. He has taught Corporate Finance at Universidad de Los Andes, and has contributed to the CFA Institute Research Challenge organization in Chile since its first edition in 2010. Simon Cawdery, CFA is a volunteer for the CFA Institute and is the elected President’s Council Representative for the Latin America and Atlantic Islands region. Simon lives in the Cayman Islands where he runs two companies. One is an investment management and consultancy company and the other is a firm that provides non-executive independent directorships to hedge funds, private equity funds and other investment vehicles. Simon moved to the Cayman Islands in 2003. Before that he was an equity analyst covering the global media sector and prior to that a credit analyst. Simon has a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a second degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.

Jaime de la Barra is a founding partner of Compass Group in Chile, and he is currently Executive Director and Senior Investment Strategist at Compass Group Holdings and Chairman of Compass Group Chile. Between 1992 and 1996, he created and was the Head of Investment Research for Grupo Santander in Chile. Previously, he was Vice President in Investment Banking at Citicorp Chile. Mr. de la Barra has been a member of the Capital Markets Advisory Council of the Chilean Ministry of Finance since 2006 and is currently a board member of Icare and chairman of it's Finance and Business Circle. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Endeavor-Chile. He teaches Capital Markets and Financial Institutions at Universidad de Los Andes and is a founding partner and director of InBest. He was one of the founders and Chairman of the Chilean Investment Fund Managers Association. Mr. de la Barra has more than 30 years of experience in the investment industry in Latin America. Frederic P. Lebel, CFA, has been co-CEO and CIO of OFI MGA and owner of HFS Hedge Fund Selection S.A., based in Geneva for the past 6 years. Prior to this, he had been an executive vice president at Lombard Odier & Cie in Geneva in charge of hedge fund investments since 1997, after having worked for two years as an assistant to Philippe A. Sarasin, CFA, one of the bank’s managing partners. He began his career in the equity division of Morgan Stanley in New York prior to moving to London.
