Since more than 30 years CETA Testsysteme GmbH (located in Hilden nearby Duesseldorf ) has been producing physical test devices for the measurement of leaks and �ow rates. Throughout the world several thousand CETA test devices are already in use. These test devices are integrated in many industrial applications, mainly for quality control within the manufacturing process in fully automatic production lines. As test medium we use compressed air and hydrogen (forming gas). Based on continuous product improvement and development of new solutions we present us as a quali�ed and competent partner for the industry.

Manifold programm of test devices
We o�er leak detectors, �ow testers, mass �ow testers and the appropriate accessories. Therefore CETA is able to work out the best solution for the industrial test application in the area of leak and �ow testing. Due to di�erent test device technologies and a wide scope of pressure and measurement ranges nearly every test requirement can be ful�lled. An integrated control of the correct test device function guarantees a high standard of process reliability.

Test modes and applications Test medium compressed air The inexpensive and easily available test medium compressed air can be used for a wide range of industrial leak tests. Leak rates down to 10-3 mbar • l/s can be detected.
Test medium forming gasWith the test medium forming gas (5 % hydrogen, 95 % nitrogen) you can detect leak rates down to 10-6 mbar • l/s.

Leak Tester CETATEST XS - compact, fast, cost-e�ective
The CETATEST XS is a compact, fully automatic leak tester for the detection of untight parts within the cycle time of the production process . The tester is designed for leak testing of small-volume test parts and short total testing times. It is equipped with a gauge pressure sensor, through which the leak-related pressure decay is detected during the measurement time (relative pressure method). Using the application software CETA Soft XS the parameterisation of the test programs is carried out. Measurement results and pressure variation curves can be recorded.

Leak Tester CETATEST 515 - available in three di�erent types
The CETATEST 515 with di�erential pressure sensor is a full automatically working leak tester for the detection of untight parts within the cycle time of the production process. The leak tester is available in three di�erent types:
The con�guration “closed components - high resolution” can be used for test parts which cannot be �lled, so called “closed components”. It is possible to detect very small ratios of test part volumes (0.03 ml < ∆V < 1.0 ml).
The type “pressure decay - high speed” can be used for leak tests of very small test parts in high speed production cycles.
The con�guration “pressure rise” has a 50 % larger measurement signal (compared to the CETATEST 815).

Leak Tester CETATEST 715 Twin The CETATEST 715 Twin is a fully automatic working leak tester for the detection of untight parts within the cycle time of the production process. The leak tester uses two gauge pressure sensors and has a large measurement range. Therefore the CETATEST 715 Twin is especially quali�ed for the simple testing of parts with large leakages. The di�erential pressure leak tester is designed for synchronous two-channel operation and is suitable for applications in which test parts can be tested with the same settings. The channel speci�c adjustment of the leak thresholds is possible.

The CETATEST 815 is a fully automatic working leak tester for the detection of untight parts within the cycle time of the production process. The pressure in the test part volume due to a leakage is compared with the pressure in a tight reference volume (di�erential pressure method).

Leak Tester CETATEST 815 Twin - parallel testing
The di�erential pressure leak tester CETATEST 815 Twin is designed for synchronous two-channel operation and is suitable for applications in which test parts can be tested with the same settings. The channel speci�c adjustment of the leak thresholds is possible. The di�erential pressure method compares the pressure decay in the test part volumes due to leakages with the pressures in the reference volumes.

Leak tester CETATEST 815 HP-PR - testing with high pressure
The CETATEST 815 HP-PR in the variant high pressure can be used for leak tests (e.g. injection valves) up to a test pressure of 400 bar using the test mode pressure rise. Hereby the primary circuit is pressurised with the test pressure (up to 400 bar). The leakage test is performed in the secondary circuit.

The Hydrogen Leak Tester for leak rates down to 10-6 mbar . l/s The Hydrogen Leak Tester is a modular system for leak testing of gas-�lled or liquid-�lled product packaging and molded components and parts. The system’s patented and highly sensitive operating method is based on the detection of gases or vapors evaporating from such packaging or molded parts in case of leakage. If the packaging or molded parts do not already contain gases or vapors, tracer gases can be injected prior to leak testing. Typical test gases and test vapors are forming gas 95/5 (95% nitrogen and 5% hydrogen), alcohols, solvents and other volatile organic gas- and vapor mixtures. A multiphase test sequence with a reference phase, which suppresses ambient �uctuations, enables the detection of leaks up to 10-6 mbar • l/s.
1. The test medium escaping from a leak in the test part is accumulated in a closed test chamber.
2. The gas volume from the chamber passes the sensor and the resulting signal is measured.

Mass Flow Tester CETATEST 615 - for the leak test of large volume parts
The CETATEST 615 is a fully automated mass �ow tester for the detection of small leaks in large volume test parts. The measurement method is based on the principle of the thermal mass �ow measurement. By using a previously pressurised reservoir volume leakages can be measured without the disturbing e�ects of a pressure regulation. Temperature e�ects are automatically compensated. The mass �ow caused by the leakage is displayed directly for standard conditions, which can be parameterised.

Flow Tester CETATEST 915 - for volume �ow measurement The �ow tester CETATEST 915 is used to measure the �ow using compressed air. The device contains a measurement system consisting of a laminar �ow element (LFE) and a di�erential pressure sensor. In the direct test method the air,provided by the internal pressure regulator, �ows through the measuring section before it enters the test part. In the indirect test method the measuring section is located behind the test part. Due to the special design of the measuring section a laminar �ow is generated. The resulting pressure di�erence is directly proportional to the volume �ow. With the optional electronical pressure regulator and four calibrations for up to four test pressures the application range is substantially broadened.

Flow Tester CETATEST 915-GThe CETATEST 915-G is a fully automatic �ow test device for the detection of untight parts. The test is automatically started after adaption of the test part. This method of operation has been developed especially for the gas industry and for reworking in the automobile industry. Short descriptionThe CETA leak detection system is conceived as a semi-automatic test stand. The modular construction and the use of standardised components allow the o�er of a price attractive system. CETA Standard LeakAccessories
CETA Standard LeakThe CETA standard leak can be used for the quick and comfortable monitoring of the CETA leak testers according to the documents of quality assurance. At a selected pressure this calibration device has a de�ned �ow (ml/min). By connecting the standard leak to the measuring circuit of the leak tester a determined leak can be simulated. This procedure enables the check of the correct adjustment of the test equipment and/or the entire test system including the adapter �xture within seconds. The CETA standard leak is supplied with a calibration certi�cate.
MaterialThe leak consists of a porous sintered precision metal. According to the quality controlled manufacturing the standard leaks show a constant �ow.
Standard leaks and customized leaksIf the necessary �ow value is not listed in the CETA standard table, a customized leak can be manufactured.Special version for pressure rise test with double plug nipple connections in the front panel of the CETA leak tester.

CETA Master JetThe CETA master jet is used for a quick and comfortable monitoring of the CETA test devices according to the documents of quality assurance. An exactly de�ned �ow combined with a pre-selected pressure is the characteristic of this calibration device.
The CETA master jet has a higher �ow than the CETA standard leak and therefore is provided for the use with CETA �ow testers (CETA 900 / CETATEST 915 / CETATEST 915-G).
For some leak test applications with large leak rates the master jet can be equipped with a plug nipple and can be connected also to leak testers.
MaterialThe master jet contains a ruby with a precision drill hole.
Standard master jetsOn the reverse side of this data sheet an excerpt of the available CETA master jets is listed.
Special master jetsIf the necessary �ow value is not found in the CETA standard table, a customized master jet can be manufactured.
Connection The master jet is connected instead of the test part.

ApplicationThe leak tight and pneumatically controlled 2/2-way valve can be used as a blocking valve.
UseThe 2/2-way valve is used for controlled opening or closing and is regulating the entrance, �ow or exhaust of compressed air connection pipes.Advice:Due to the integrated valve technology the 2/2-way valve has a preferential direction.The main compressed air pipe that has to be closed has to be connected to port 1.

Functioning1. Filter stage (PE �lter unit): Compressed air, contaminated with �ne dust is �ltered by the �lter material. Solid particles, which are larger than 25 μm, cannot pass the �lter because of di�erent �lter processes like impact and �ltration.
2. Filter stage (SMF �lter unit): E�ective two stage �lter process with a integrated 1 μm upstream �lter. Fluid and solid particles up to a size of 0.01 μm will be separated by using di�erent �lter processes like impact, �ltration and di�usion.
We recommend the exchange of the PE- and SMF �lter units after one year at the latest referring to the degree of soiling.

DAkkS calibrations - measurand pressureThe calibration laboratory of CETA has been accredited as DAkkS calibration laboratory (D-K-19566-01-00) for the measurand pressure. By use of the test medium gas we provide DAkkS calibrations in the measuring range of -1 bar to +60 bar in the permanent laboratory and on-site (details regarding measurand, measuring range and measuring uncertainty see next page).The DAkkS calibration is carried out in accordance with the norm DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.The calibration certi�cate of a DAkkS laboratory automatically documents traceability to national standards. Regular audits by the DAkkS ensure the high quality of the used measuring equipment and the test procedures.By multilateral agreements the DAkkS calibration certi�cate is accepted in many countries. You will �nd more information on the homepages of the ILAC, the EA and the DAkkS (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH).

Factory calibrations - measurand pressureThe pressure range of -1 bar to +60 bar is also covered by factory calibrations. Factory calibrations are realized with DAkkS calibrated instruments. The traceability of the used measuring equipment is documented in detail.
Factory calibrations - measurand �owBy factory calibration the �ow range of 0.1 ml/min to 220 l/min is covered. The used calibration standards are calibrated regularly with DAkkS calibration certi�cate at accredited institutes.
Meaning of the traceability of measurement and test equipment. The certi�cation according DIN ISO 9000 in the industrial environment and the quality management requires the traceability of the measuring equipment to national standards.
