Resting heart rate

can be a key indicator of your cardiovascular

fitness.

Most stimulants e.g. caffeine can raise the

heart rate and do not give a true

indication of your resting heart rate.

If somebody has an unusually high resting heart this

can also be an indication of being unwell.
