About the show

Dreams are successions of images, ideas, emotions and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.

The purpose of dreams are not definitively understood.

Dreams can last a few seconds or as long as 20 minutes.

To dream of the circus shows your desire for a more exciting life. You are easily influenced into dangerous situations.

Dream Dictionary : Circus : Fun, variety, excitement and desire.

Most people do dream in colour but may not notice all colours, giving

the impression of a black and white dream. Dreams fade so quickly that we may only remember the dream in shades of grey with key features radiating colour.

This show will take you through a journey of dreams. Featuring the good, the bad, the black, white and red? You will notice most of the costumes are black and white (unless out of the dream scenes) this is taken from the above quote. Think back, what colours were present in your last dream? Our key features will be highlighted by the colour red.

So, sit back, sleep tight and don’t let the bed bugs bite...

Miss Kay

Kay trained at Masters Performing Arts College, then went on to complete her teaching certificate in London. She has been teaching at Centre Stage School of Dance for many years since and has enjoyed being involved in many shows, exams and competitions.

“It is always a pleasure to teach such committed

and talented children who really enjoy their dancing. The girls have worked extremely hard leading up to the show remembering all the steps in each dance. They have all been eager to try out new and tricky choreography and we have had many giggles doing so. I am proud of all the students at the centre stage and wish them lots of luck in the show. I hope that all the mums, dads,

families and friends enjoy watching as much as we enjoy the performing. Have fun and break a leg!”

Miss Laura

Laura has danced at Centre Stage since it first began in the year 2000 with principal Lindsey Hamm. She then went on to performance college and trained in musical theatre at Tiffany Theatre College. After graduating she went on to perform in many professional shows

around the world as well as television appearances. She continued to teach at Centre Stage in between jobs and has gained her qualifications with ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance). Although she still dances professionally, Laura has taken on the role of principal at Centre Stage.

Thank you

I would like to say a huge thank you firstly to all the wonderful students at Centre Stage. You have all worked so hard and made the show brilliant. I am so very proud of you all. Next I would like to thank the parents. Without your support we could not have put on a show like tonight or have a school half as good as it is.

Thank you to Miss Kay. She works so hard all year through, and really puts her heart into dancing and teaching. She is a fabulous teacher and a great help to me.

All my back stage helpers, thank you so much. The show could not go on without you.

Thank you to Leanne Smith for your help with costumes and for the fantastic show pictures.

To Kevin, my fiancé, a huge thank you for all your help and support, for producing such a beautiful show programme and working the sound desk.

A lot of time, love, energy and hard work has gone into not only the show but the school too, for this I am very grateful and appreciate it. So I hope you have enjoyed tonights performance and continue to support Centre Stage.

Lets have a fantastic 2013

Lots of love,

Miss Laura
