Overview: Students have the option of doing yoga, GoNoodle workouts or a variety of exercises related to activities that we do in PE class. Students will recognize that when you exercise at a moderate or high intensity, your heart beats faster and you breathe faster. Students can choose to focus on flexibility and balance by doing yoga or focus on muscular strength and endurance by doing the workouts and/or exercises. If students are interested, they can do all the activities. Estimated Time: 20-25 minutes Explanation: Enjoy a fun exercise with a parent, sibling, or guardian. Identify which activities you enjoyed the most and which one was more of challenge. Pokémon Yoga focuses on strength and stretching movements while the students also get to listen to a Pokémon story. Students have practiced the exercises in the Deck of Cards game throughout the year in PE class. Three quick things to know: With an adult or older sibling, choose one of the workouts or activity options listed below. The activity log is optional. If you choose to participate, fill out the activity log after each workout. Yoga can help improve strength, flexibility, balance and coordination.
