Learning about medicaon safety can reduce and even prevent the risk of harm for you & your loved ones. Adverse Drug Events in Older Adults Older adults (65 +) are twice as likely to go to an emergency room for adverse drug events, that is over 177,000 emergency visits each year. Older adults are nearly seven mes more likely to be hospitalized aſter an emergency visit, but most of these hospitalizaons are due to just a few drugs known to require careful monitoring to prevent problems. Common drugs that can require monitoring are blood thinners, diabetes medicaons, & seizure medicaons. Important & Helpful Safety Tips 1. Take Medicine as Prescribed, with Input from Your Doctor 2. Utah monthly meeting is held for all who like to discuss,
evaluate and form their OWN opinions, including religion
and politics, etc. Everyone is welcome for education,
enlightenment and enjoyment.
The League of Women Voters, meet on the last
Thurs. of each month from 10 - 11:30. This
month meeting will be held on the 26th.
Friday the 27th at 1:00 pm Lisa will be here for a Mothers
Day Edition Soap Making. Be sure to sign up at the tables.
