INTRODUCTION
This publication contains the instructions for use and maintenance of MX-80 Cement Mixer and
general mixer for agricultural and other use.
SAFETY RULES
1. Carefully read the operator’s manual before working with the machine.
2. Check counter cowling supplied with mixer.
3. Keep a safe distance from the PTO Shaft during the work.
HOW TO ATTACH THE MIXER
The frame is designed to allow attachment of the mixer to tractors equipped with 3-point
hydraulic lift system (Category 1&2).
1. Once attached to the tractor it is necessary to remove the blocking knobs from the support
legs.
2. Place the mixer as shown in “position B” indicated in the diagram in this booklet and block
the lift bars of the hydraulic lift so that the PTO Shaft remains horizontal with respect to the
power take-off of the tractor and the input shaft of the cement mixer. There upon carry out
the link –up to the hydraulic system of the tractor verify, without rotating the mixer tub, that
the PTO Shaft is in no way subjected to binding especially when in the “position C” of the
diagram.
3. Start the power take-off of the tractor at the lowest RPM and rotate the mixer tub for a short
period empty. During these tests ensure once again cross-pieces either in “position A” or
“position C” of the diagram.
MAINTENANCE
Before starting work, the machine should be lubricated with care at points 1 and 2 indicated
in the diagram, at the ball joints and sliding tubes of the PTO Shaft, and also on the chain
drive system. Check the tension of the chain drive and if necessary, regulate with the tension
control mechanism. Avoid operation at the angle of the PTO Shaft greater than the maximum
of 35o indicated on the decals.

ATTENTION!
1. Check the length of the PTO shaft, ensuring that it has a minimum axial play of
(2 inches) in the shortest position (IT SHOULD UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES
BIND). Check also the length of the PTO shaft at the point of full extension to
ensure that the insert length between the two halves of the shaft
is not less than (4inches).
2. It is good practice not to operate the PTO shaft with angulation over 35 degrees.
Hence during the loading operation it is advisable to detach the PTO shaft from
the implement.
