Hello! Welcome back to Cecil’s CCL, the story that’s all kitties, all the time! If you aren’t familiar with the rules of the CCL (or the Crazy Cat Lover challenge), you can find them on my LJ. If you aren’t familiar with the plot, don’t worry, there isn’t one – but you can catch up on the back chapters at my LJ if you’d like.

I know it’s been a long time since the last chapter, and for that, I apologize. Alas, my image manipulation skills have not gotten any better in the interim.

And no, this is not a picture of Cecil with a cat. But it is a picture that proves how awesome the cats are. Even strangers have to give them snuggles!

Page 2: Cecil's CCL #7

It’s been a relatively uneventful couple of rotations at the CCL household. To start with, Cecil’s sister Josephine* stole the kitty cat lawn gnome.

I mean, Cecil’s got a whopping one Nice point, so he went out and got it back that very night, so no harm done, but it was a thing that happened.

*Read more about Josephine in Already in Progress, available on my LJ.

Boomer challenged his father Andy for dominance, and was promptly put in his place. Fortunately, this did not involve a fight, since fights are bad.

-1 Each fight between your Sim's cats (Fights between your Sim's cats and any walkbys/strays don't count.)

Page 4: Cecil's CCL #7

Allyn distracted Boomer with a cat treat, which diffused the situation pretty well. I just hope it doesn’t set up “fight with Dad = treat” in Boomer’s head.

Page 5: Cecil's CCL #7

Fortunately, the cats mostly get along, as demonstrated by this picture of Boomer and. Um. Atropos! That’s it, Atropos! Atropos has the red collar!

Phew, that was a close one!

-5 If you the player can't tell the adult cats apart (All kittens look alike, so they don't count)

Page 6: Cecil's CCL #7

There were plenty of comings and goings at the house. All the cats (except Boomer) have jobs so the carpool is near constant, plus you can only order one photo at a time, so the delivery van had to make multiple trips to bring them all.

Page 7: Cecil's CCL #7

Including this picture of Andy, which will probably end up being his portrait for the extra points.

+9 Individual portrait of each cat somewhere on the lot (painting, snapshot, artist's camera, architect's table, etc.)

Page 8: Cecil's CCL #7

Allyn and Cecil helped the kitties along their career paths by teaching them all manner of skills. Here, Allyn is teaching Play Dead to um.

To ah.

Crap!

Page 9: Cecil's CCL #7

Not every skill being taught was job-related, of course. Use Toilet is simply super useful when you have five litterboxes to clean. Here, Cecil is teaching Use Toilet to er. Um.

To.

Crap!

-5 If you the player can't tell the adult cats apart (All kittens look alike, so they don't count)

Page 10: Cecil's CCL #7

Now, part of the problem with teaching cats to Use The Toilet is that sometimes they then decide to Use The Toilet when you want to Use The Toilet. And of course according to the rules, you can’t shoo a cat away from a Toilet that you want to Use.

Page 11: Cecil's CCL #7

That would be why a house with only two humans has two full bathrooms. And even then, it doesn’t always work out ideally.

It’s pretty clear here that Atropos is wondering why it took the funny-looking two-legged cat* so long to finish using the litterbox and why the door has to be shut when he’s using it.

*Cats think humans are funny-looking but somewhat backwards cats. That’s why they will sometimes bring you dead animals as a present – it’s Remedial Hunting 101, since you are obviously deficient.

Page 12: Cecil's CCL #7

While playing this pair of rotations, I heard fighting noises coming from Cecil and Allyn’s bedroom, and I was quite worried that it was a cat fight, because cat fights are minus points.

Page 13: Cecil's CCL #7

Fortunately, it was just Boomer sharpening the ol’ claws. Even more fortunately, he was able to be distracted from scratching it to destruction with a fishy treat.

I think Cecil and Allyn are using too many fishy treats to distract Boomer from bad behavior. I’m sure it will set up a behavioral feedback loop to reinforce the behavior rather than stop it.

Page 14: Cecil's CCL #7

And it’s just plain silly to set that up when Boomer can have a treat any old time he wants one. Here, can’t you practically hear him saying “Hi, funny-looking cat! Time to turn off that glowy box thing and give me a fishy treat now!”

Page 15: Cecil's CCL #7

And the funny-looking cat does!

Boomer has his funny-looking cats very well trained.

Page 16: Cecil's CCL #7

So Cecil and Allyn have a bed that’s all in one piece and sleeps the both of them.

Not that it does them a lot of good when the true masters of the house decide to play with the birdie on a stick in the room. It’s only a tiny little jingly bell…

Page 17: Cecil's CCL #7

…but it’s enough to wake people up. And as long as they’re awake, they might as well pet the cat. And feed them. And maybe bring out that feather on a pole thing that is so much fun to play with.

I would like to point out that I did find some nice cc cat-themed underpants for Cecil. I’m not sure they’re on an Elder mesh, but they’re Elder-enabled, and I’ll take it.

And now that your yearly quota of old man underpants is fulfilled, let’s move on.

Page 18: Cecil's CCL #7

As you can see, Allyn aged up during these two rotations without any fanfare. Which is how it should be. If it’s not directly related to a cat, who cares, right? She did get a nice new cat-themed top at least.

Maybe next rotation I’ll have a fashion show, to show the cat-themed items Cecil and Allyn own. I get points for that, after all.

+1 for every category in which Sim has cat-themed clothing (Everyday, Pajamas, etc.)+1 for having cat-themed accessories (whether categorized as glasses, as Bon Voyage jewelry, or both)

Page 19: Cecil's CCL #7

And I think that’s about enough for now. Here is a nice picture of kitties to hold you over until next time.

And until next time, Happy Simming!
