SAINT ANNE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH BRISTOL, VIRGINIA October 30, 2016 Remember St. Anne’s in your Will and Trusts What a beautiful first reading we have today! It almost sings of God’s tender care for all creation. As we gather for our celebration today, it is comforting to know how much God loves us and wants only the best for us. As this Jubilee Year of Mercy winds down, it is good to be reminded that God has mercy on all. Luke 20:27-38 (or) Luke 20:27, 34-38 In God there is no death. Jesus’ response to the legalists trying to trip him up next Sunday is simple. Don’t sweat the details of eternal life — just have faith. There are times when we too can get caught up in the trivia and miss the important things in life. Let us try to set aside inconsequential things and focus on God’s message of faith and life for each of us.
