“Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.” (Matt 5:8)
“This poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury.” (Mark 12:43)
The most essential ingredient we need to experience a joyful life is to have a deeper and stronger personal relationship with our Almighty God. In any relationship, it is important to be faithful in order to build a trust with each other and it also needs constant communication as it strengthens the bond of both individuals that will eventually lead to an intimate relationship.
In the same way, to have a greater personal relationship with God requires faith and trust through frequent communication by means of our daily prayers and thinking of Him every now and then so that we will totally fall in love with God.
I would like to share a few words from the homily of Father Victor Conti, an Italian diocesan priest who visited our parish and celebrated mass for 5 Sundays. In one of his homilies he said, “Ultimately FAITH is not a matter of true beliefs, correct ideas about God, good attitudes, or traditional behaviours. FAITH is a matter of TRUST. To TRUST in GOD means to be available to put our lives in His hands, to share with Him our difficulties, troubles, dreams and hopes. The more we put our real lives in His hands, the more we risk but at the same time the more we risk, the more we will experience the love and care of God.”
During the Holy Hour of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, we are strengthening our faith in God as we place our availability in the hands of God through Jesus. It also deepens our relationship with Him as we spend time in His company. This is the best hour for us to offer to Jesus our joys, sorrows, difficulties, problems, dreams, hopes and everything. Jesus is always available to listen to our cries about anything. We must offer our whole selves unto Him and allow Jesus to manipulate our lives for us to obtain a change of heart.
During this Holy Hour of Adoration, Jesus is giving away his bountiful ray of graces to each one who accompanies and chats with him. When we are saturated with His divine grace and our hearts are filled with his presence, only then can we take the risk of this challenging world for God`s greater glory. And the more we risk the more we experience the love and care of God that will certainly give us a happy life. GOD BLESS US ALL....

The true essence of Faith
We would like to welcome the weekday groups who gather in the Church to Pray the Rosary during their holidays.
Many Domestic Helpers do not have their holiday on a Saturday or Sunday, so are unable to attend Mass on Saturday or Sunday.
But thanks to Fr. Luigi who gave them a chance to be part of the Community. With the help of Cristine Valdez and Jean Liza Javillonar who have motivated them to stay in the Church and Pray the Rosary.
These groups are grateful because their holidays are different, but they have grown spiritually and at the same time feel God's presence. A Mass is held on the 3rd Thursday of the month for these groups.
Certificates from CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institution (HK) received by the Saturday group of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. The Topic was about Financial Literacy which basically about budgeting specially for Overseas Filipino Workers. The course ended on July 25, 2015 with 28 members attended.

Each year, the Pastoral Team has to drain their brains on organizing activities for the summer holidays. On one hand, the programme has to attain the aim of evangelization, and on the other, it has to fulfill the objective of assisting parishioners to grow in their spirituality. This year, we pioneered a Gospel Day-camp called “Flight of Love”. The target participants are students of Primary 4 to Form 1. At the beginning of preparation, it was unanimously agreed among the Core Group, consisting of eleven invited parishioners, that the format of the “Gospel Day-camp” should not be preaching-based, but should be activity-based, to facilitate the participants to appreciate and experience that “God is Love”. After two rounds of meetings and numerous exchanging of e-mails, the Core Group formulated the day’s rundown with competition, contest etc., and the preparatory work eventually reached its finale. On the day of the camp, we first employed the activity “Love encounters” to break the ice among participants. We then followed by the activities “Venturing into the Filling Station” and “Quality Filling Station” to help participants create and construct a flying-machine by the name of “Flight of Love” to conclude the achievements of the day. All were fully devoted, irrespective of whether they are working staff or participants. The atmosphere was light, relaxed and harmonious, suffused with the love of God, and each one has got what he needs to comprehend. As this was a new attempt, we would be more than happy if the number of participants could reach 30. To our disappointment, only twelve turned up. The participation rate gave me the opportunity to recapitulate the intrinsic quality of, and the attitude towards, evangelization. I also gained a new experience - Evangelization is to propagate the good news of Gospels to people. One should not put too much emphasis on the number of attendants. Didn’t Jesus spend quite some time just to evangelize one Samaritan woman? I have rendezvous with the resurrected Lord. His love compels me to change my views on
people, on things and on the world. He also invites me to share with people this kind of joy. St. Paul the Apostle had said: “…woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” (1 Corinthians 9:16). Thus, evangelization is really the grace from God.What kind of attitude should I adopt in evangelization? First, view the world as the Lord sees it. To do so, we have to ”Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5). Always turn your mind to our Heavenly Father, as Jesus often performed what His Father favours. When we are called to follow Jesus, we are not acting as if we are slaves; rather it is based on love and our faith to His love. Through meditating the Gospels of Christ, our worldly values and the core values will be assimilated gradually. Do we still remember Chapter 15 of the Gospel according to St. Luke: the parable of the lost sheep? We should put aside the ninety-nine sheep to look for the lost one. From God’s viewpoint, the singular is in no way less significant than plural. This is the wonder of our Lord!Second, identify the power of life and the influence of death Through prayers, teachings of the Church and supports from community, we strive to change this worldly place into environments belonging to Deity. Do you still remember Chapter 14 of the Gospel according to St. Luke on the banquet? “Then said he unto him, a certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.” (Luke 14:16-20). Jesus does not mean to deny that human beings need land and family, but He wants to point out that it is the Heavenly Kingdom that is most needed by human beings. We should not turn down our Lord because of land and family. We should not put aside the needs of the participants despite of their small numbers. Rather, we should try our best to let them understand what are the most precious valuables in their lives. Just put aside our worries and focus our eyes sharply, open our hearts, and listen more attentively to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I thank God for letting me have the chance of reflecting on the real meaning of evangelization. May this sharing bring encouragement to all the brothers and sisters in Christ.
