PASAR BESAR SEREMBANPRECIOUS LIFE

Pasar Besar Seremban is the largest commercial mall in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. There are a lots of stall inside and selling variety kind of things. For example, fish, meat, vegetable, fruits, toys, shirt and others. The people in the pasar have a busy life and always rushing for earned money. There are eldest and young inside the pasar, some of them bring their child to work. The Foreign labor covered all the pasar. There are so lively.

My father is a Fishmonger in this pasar so I know well to it . I would like to share this precious place to the readers. That is also my C&C final project to investigate about People and Space.

Pasar Besar Serembanlocated at the middle of city and at the Jalan TuankuMunawir. Their many other shops and bank surrounding it. So, many people visit and consume at this market because it located at a good place.

Outside Pasar Besar

Throught threatened with the opening of hypermarket, the market is still a thriving place on weekends, with a plenty of customers doing their weekly shopping.

Inside Pasar Besar

The claustrophobic environment inevitable with poor space management, people are packed like sardines with customers pushing and shoving their way through to buy their groceries.

Fish Stalls

Fish stall have a width space for selling the fishs. Different type of Fish sold at market. The freshest fish can be found. The fishmonger started to work at the early morning to transport and prepare the fish nicely for sell.

Mr Lim have been work as a fishmonger for 50 years. He work hard to earned money for his family. He is a kind and happy person.

VEGETABLE

STALLS Vegetable stalls is the most chaos space in market. The greengrocer place the wild herbs disorderly. Variety type of vegetable are selling in the market. Some of them are organic. There are supply from the farm of local and foreign farms.

Uncle Wong worked as a greengrocer for 50 years. At the beginning he helped his father to sell the vegetable and taker over his father business when his

father pass away.

Meat Stalls

Meat stalls have a orderliness display mode in market and all of the ,eat stalls quite similar to each other. There are selling different types of meat such as chicken, beef, lamp and pork.Butcher clean and chop the meat before selling. Although it is smelly, they ignore the smell and keep working.

Uncle Tan and his wife work together as a butcher when they get married. They clean the meat and chop them to pieces for sell at the early morning.

They are so conjugal love.

Dry Food

StallsThe space inside dry food stall is narrow and limited. There are many type of dry food sell in market such as Tou-fu Skin, potato, ginger, aromatizer and others. There start work late than those who selling fish, vegetable and meat. Usually they work at 8 o’ clock in the morning.

Chong’s family work as a dry food hawkers. Mr Chong have two dry food shop. One of it manage by himself and the other manage by his mother. These family

work together peacefully.

FoodCourt

The food court of market have alotsof people in the morning. It occupies one third of the market which is the largest space but also crowd by people. There are many delicious food inside. The food are famous and good in taste. It has noodles, porridge, rice and other.

Aunty Chin cook the food for sell in the morning. There are so delicious. She is a lonely old woman who have no child and husband but she also a gracious person. When I was young

she always give a free fried drumstick for me.

There are many kinds of shop in market such as shirt, fertilizer, hair accessories,

flower, shoe, cosmetic, incense and others shops. The space of each shop are tiny. The sound of customers bargain for

the price are always hear in the shops.

started to sell.

The foreign worker can be found at the side or behind the market who

carry commodity from the lorries to the stalls.
