causes: 1. DVR upgrade error, please remove the hard disk to
restore the factory default. 2. DVR motherboard failure, please
contact the supplier for repair. 3. Hard disk failure, please
replace the hard disk. PTZ can not be controlled Possible causes:
1. RS-485 interfaces cable is connected incorrectly, A and B ports
are reversely connected. 2. The settings of PTZ decoder type,
protocol, baud rate and address bit are incorrect. 3. RS-485 bus
connects too much PTZs, with signal reflex, it is necessary to
connect in parallel with a resistor of 120
remotely. 4. The RS-485 interface of the motherboard is damaged.

IX. Hard Disk Calculation and Maintenance
Hard Disk Capacity Calculation Reference
If the DVR is initially installed, please first check whether
the hard disk is installed. The capacity size of the hard disk
itself DVR has no limit on the single hard disk capacity, please
select according to the requirements of video saving time.
Selection of the total capacity The computing formula of hard disk
capacity: Total hard disk capacity (MB)=Number of channels required
time (Hour) Occupied hard disk capacity per hour (MB/hour)
Note: for the capacity of the hard disk purchased on market,
1GB=1000MB, not the theoretical 1GiB=1024MiB, therefore, in Hard
Disk ManagementBasic Configuration, the displayed capacity is less
than the nominal value of the actual hard disk. When DVR adopts the
fixed-rate encoding mode, the estimations for the file size
generated per hour are shown in the following table:
Stream Size
(Max bit rate) File Size
Stream Size
(Max bit rate)
