What will happen if all Indian states ban oxen and

bulls slaughter?

If a cow gives birth there is 50% chance for male progeny

Male progenies were earlier used as drought animals

• For goods transportation

• For journeys

After effective usage cattle are sold out for slaughter.

If the marginal or landless farmers can not sell the male progenies they will withdraw from cattle rearing.

If farmers stops cattle rearing

• Milk supply will affect • Milk powder will be imported

Slaughter ban will affect export earnings and job opportunities

• We exported Rs. 8,000 crore worth beef in 2010-11

• We exported 1089.71 million US $ worth leather goods in 2011

Bone meal industry will be affected

People will shift to mutton and Carabeef (buffalo meat). Price of these items will increase

• Mutton • Buffalo meat

Beef will also be replaced with chicken and egg

• Antibiotic fed chicks will arrive more

• Drugged birds will be in the menu

Tanning industry will be affected. Leather products will be imported

Public roads will be the resting place for ‘no owner’ cattle

Play grounds will be occupied

Number of garbage eaters will increase

There will be more street fights

None will care to bury the dead

Some one may find easy way to dispose

Wastage from chicken stalls will go up

‘No Owner’ cattle will increase. Government will open ghosalas and dumping grounds

Is slaughter ban a necessity to increase livestock population ? Statistics shows ‘NO’

Number of livestock population was 273 million in 1951

Number of livestock population increased to 470 million in 1992 and 512.05 million in 2012 .

‘DESI’ cow is almost extinct now. How can we call the European breeds as ‘GOMATHA’ or ‘HOLY COW’?
