Cross Catholic Outreach– Mission Trip Meeting Sunday - November 19, 2017 11:15am Parish Hall

Nearly 600 people attended and helped at the Fall Festival this year. The event this year

focused more on family activities and by all accounts accomplished the goal of bringing the

parish together on a cold but beautiful day. With an event so large, I must recognize some people,

although by no means all of them, who spent up to two days in immediate preparation and hours

and hours in proximate preparation for the Fall Festival.

Columbus Council 893 who provided the BINGO and children's activities, Justin Castanza and

many others who lent a helping hand throughout the day. Without all the help, we could not have

made it a great day.

El evento este año estaba enfocado más en actividades para la familia y logramos nuestro objetivo de unir a la parroquia en un día frío pero hermoso. Con un evento tan grande yo debo reconocer algunas personas, aunque de ninguna manera son todos, que pasaron dos días de preparación inmediata y horas y horas en preparación para el Festival de Otoño.

GOD’S LOVE IS OVERFLOWING AND FILLS EACH ONE OF US. Father Nicholas teaches “Theology of the Body” every 3rd Wednesday of the month to the Senior Youth group at the FLC Youth Room.

The St. Vincent de Paul St. Bede Chapter is no longer active due to the retirement of leadership and low membership. The Poor Box proceeds will go to support the St. Bede Food Pantry which is a

direct aid to the poor and bus passes, gasoline cards for the poor and needy.


1. Parents must be married in the Catholic Church. 2. If a couple is civilly married or unmarried, they must

make an appointment to meet with the Pastor before they can have their children baptized.

3. Children age 6 and under will receive the sacrament of Baptism. From 7 and above, they will receive all three sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation).

4. Parents must bring a copy of their marriage certificate from the Church where they were married.

5. Godparents must be practicing Catholics. You may have a proxy for a godparent/s who may be unable to come.

6. To have your child baptized, contact Andrea at 272-3463 to schedule a Baptism Preparation Class.

7. Baptism in English is every 3rd Sunday of each month after the 10am Mass.

GUATEMALA MISSION TRIP.

St. Bede, in partnership with Cross Catholic Outreach, is exploring the possibility of a parish mission trip to Guatemala in the summer of 2018. Jean Morris, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017. She is survived by her sister Patricia, devoted niece Tena and dear friend Father Alex. Funeral Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Alejandro E. Valladares on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows in Birmingham, AL.

Albano Silva, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie ,

children Mark (Lynell), Mike, Steve (Cheryl), John (Gail), Alan (Brenda) with 13 grandchildren

and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Alejandro E. Valladares on Thursday, November 2 at St. Bede Church.
