Catering Menu

Being “On Premise” is an immediate advantage over other caterers. It is easier for us to better serve your Recreation Center Events. With our facilities close by, we can deliver your selections fresh from our kitchen to your guests. Our fully equipped catering van is well stocked with everything needed to make your event a complete success. Should you have a special request or a change in plans, it's great to know that our full service restaurant is on site. Most caterers will quote you a low price to get your attention, only to add a fee per person for rental of necessities such as silverware, white table linen, skirting, white napkins, glassware, etc. This approach is misleading, confusing, and costly. Our prices include all service ware with your entree and accompaniment selection. Of course, we welcome all upgrades and special requests. However, if any specialty equipment needs to be rented (platforms, dance floors, projectors, candelabras, spotlights, odd sized tables or any other equipment), the rental fee based upon charges to the club will be added to your bill. We know that you'll be pleasantly surprised at what we can do for your budget. Your satisfaction is our number one priority, and our years of experience will ensure the success of your event. Our seasoned Kitchen, Management, and Service Staff are ready to make your event into an occasion to be remembered. Small or large events, business meetings, luncheons, showers, formal and informal dinners, or cocktail parties-we've done them all. We are proud to be Lake Barrington Shores’ premiere on premise caterer. You will meet directly with both the Restaurant Manager and the Executive Chef to plan your special occasion. Together, we will work as a team to select the perfect menu and beverage service for your event, all within your budget. We have an extensive list of menu items and specialties to choose from. Our staff will also be happy to work with your group in arranging custom menus to meet your needs. We take special pride in our ability to customize any selection to fit your discriminating taste. A tasting may be arranged in our restaurant to view and sample your selection before your important event. We will be happy to make recommendations regarding entertainment, floral arrangements, theme decorations, or any special requests you might have. We want you to be a part of the planning team every step of the way.

Our dining rooms and terrace provide private, quaint spaces for your special occasions. We are able to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere with any of our rooms for your smaller parties and affairs. We are an ideal location for showers, birthday parties, graduation parties, rehearsal dinners, christenings, business meetings, etc. You can’t beat the view from our covered terrace. We also pride ourselves in being Lake Barrington Shores’ premiere on-premise caterer. We can cater your party at the inviting atmosphere at the Recreation Center for resident sponsored gatherings.

CONDITIONS 1. The rules of the Club govern all persons while on the premise.

2. Organizations or persons holding an affair agree to accept any and all responsibility for damages to Club property, as well as all damages to the person or property of guests, members of the organization, their employees, etc., while on club premises, and hereby agree to hold LAKE BARRINGTON SHORES GOLF CLUB, Division of THE JAMES COMPANIES harmless for the same.

3. LAKE BARRINGTON SHORES GOLF CLUB, division of THE JAMES COMPANIES will not be responsible for the loss or damage of personal property.

4. In the best interest of the group being accommodated, the Club reserves the right to make any necessary changes in the room assigned for any function.

5. The musicians and entertainers are subject to approval by Club management, as well as any other program agenda.

6. The quotation herein is subject to an increase to meet increased costs of food, beverages and other costs of operation existing at the time of performance of our undertaking. Patron expressly grants the right to the Club to raise the prices herein quoted or to make reasonable substitutions on the menu and agrees to pay such increased prices and to accept substitutions.

7. All Federal, State, and Municipal taxes which may be imposed or be applicable to this Agreement and to the services rendered by the Club are in addition to the prices herein agreed upon, and the patron agrees to pay them separately.

8. The facilities of the Club available under this Agreement are specifically limited to the room shown herein. The organization or persons contracting herein assume full responsibility for the whereabouts of their guests and any damage to either party of this Agreement, resulting for the lack of policing said guests.

9. The contracting party agrees to give, either in writing, or verbally, to the Club Management a final attendance figure, on or before three (3) days prior to the affair. In the event that there are more than ten percent (10%) of the final figures given in attendance, charges for the excess are subject to menu rates as established for like food, beverage and service accommodations.

10. Performance of this Agreement is contingent upon the ability of LAKE BARRINGTON SHORES GOLF CLUB to complete the same, and is subject to the labor troubles, disputes, or strikes; accidents; government (Federal, State, and Municipal) requisitions, restrictions upon travel transportation, foods, beverages, supplies; and other causes whether enumerated herein or not, beyond the control of management preventing or interfering with performance. In no event shall the LAKE BARRINGTON SHORES GOLF CLUB be liable for loss of profit or for other similar or dissimilar collateral or consequential damages whether based on breach of contract, warranty, or otherwise.

Contract must be signed and returned with appropriate deposit within 10 days of date issued or 30 days prior to the event for the reservation to be valid. I (we) hereby agree to the terms and conditions as set forth in this Agreement, including those contained on the reverse side, which are specifically incorporated herein and made a part of this Agreement.
