On April 23rd is celebrated in Catalonia (Spain) on the day of Sant Jordi, a festival where you give books and roses as presents.

This is what you give to the'' boyfriends'' on St. George's Day: a book Saint George and the

dragon.

CASTELLERSThe “castles” are people who practice a sport that consists of forming a tower with people of different ages.

It is a typical dance performed in a circle in groups. It’s the traditional dance of Catalonia

TYPICAL MEALSBread with tomatoes is typical to eat here in Catalonia. It accompanies any dish.

The brownie is a typical food of Catalonia, which is cooked when we celebrate “Castanyada” (Chestnut day).

PICASSO: He was Pablo Picasso. Picasso was a painter. He was Spanish.

DALÍ : He was Salvador Dali, he was a prominent Spanish surrealist painter born in Figueres, Spain.

MIRÓ : He was Joan Miró. Miró was a painter, sculptor, and ceramicist born in Barcelona, Spain.

GAUDÍ: Antoni Gaudí was born in reus Riudoms on the june 25,1852. Gaudí was spanish architect,maximum catalan modrenism.

The Holy Family is a Catholic basilica in Barcelona (Spain), designed by the architect Antony Gaudi. Initiated in 1882, is still under construction (March 2013). Construction began in the Gothic style, but, assuming the project Gaudi in 1883, was completely rethought.

founder was: Josep Maria Bocabella.

The building is a Cultural and since the November 2, 1929, National Historic-Artistic Monument.The present cathedral was built during the thirteenth to fifteenth on the old Romanesque cathedral, the completion of the imposing facade in the same style, however, is much more modern (nineteenth century).
