2. Casing oscillators and accessoriesIn 2007 our Company successfully started manufacturing a complex kind of equipment – casing oscillators.

The process of manufacturing casing oscillators is a closed loop starting with developing engineering documents and ending with acceptance testing at the Client’s construction site.

Our casing oscillators demonstrate great performance at construction sites in Central and North-Western Russia, Urals, and Western Siberia.

«PTC «ERDE TOOLS» specialists are highly experienced in overhauling, upgrading, adapting and designing casing oscillators with nominal diameter of 800 to 1500 mm for drilling rigs by European manufacturers like MAIT, Bauer, Leffer, and Chinese ones like Sany, Zoomlion, Sunward. Our casing oscillators are hooked up to the unit’s own hydraulic system or an autonomous hydraulic plant.

COU-1,5 Casing Oscillator

Main features that make this casing oscillator stand out lie in the use of three

hydraulic cylinders instead of two for the insertion and extraction of casings, and in the

detachable design of the collar and support. Implementation of these changes allowed

to substantially increase the casing insertion and extraction force, and the updated

design of the support and collar enable moving away from the well without removing

the casing.

Factory acceptance and field tests of the COU-1,5 casing oscillator were successfully completed in 2011.

Casing drive adapter transfers the torque from the rotary drive to the top of the casing column. The casing drive adapter’s design depends on the diameter, type of drive, and type of casing joint.

Our Company also produces cardan joints and drive’s flanges for drilling rigs made by any manufacturer.

Casing clamp is used for holding the inserted casing inside the well. Dimensions of clamps correspond to the outer diameter of casings. Moreover, the clamps could be produced for two sizes at once 800/880 mm, 1000/1180 mm etc.

4. Augers

Auger is a tool for drilling in soils above ground water level and rocks. Can be used with or without casings.

Auger indications depend on drilling diameter, type of cutting part, number of starts and kelly box sizes.

Auger drilling diameters depend on inner casing diameter.

«PTC «ERDE TOOLS» has the capacity to manufacture augers with diameters of 300 mm up to 1,850 mm for any drilling rigs with Kelly-boxes of 100*100 mm to 200*200 mm.

5. Drilling buckets

Drilling bucket is a tool for drilling in all soil types below ground water level.

Bottom opening device is driven by either casing drive adapter or manual gripper assembly. Hinged structure of drilling bucket bottom makes unloading easy. Hollow-centered venting channel built into the drilling bucket ensures inflow of water or air below its bottom during extraction to prevent vacuum. Rotating bottom can be equipped with different types of chisels for drilling in different soils.

Belling bucket

Belling bucket is a tool designed for producing bored piles with enlarged base area into cohesive soils; can only be used with casings.

During operation the loosened soil enters open shell sections. The soil is removed through manually opened bottom. For equal enlargement and prevention of excessive soil shearing in the well, the bell opening is adjusted step by step.

Chisel is a tool for breaking down rocky soils up to grade 10 through free dropout. It is applied for cast-in-place piling installation by cable-tool drilling and crushing rock inclusions resistant to rotary drilling. Used in combination with a grab. The chisel is distinguished by profile geometry, a centering bucket, weight and length.

«PTC «ERDE TOOLS» designs and manufactures chisels of any design required by the customer weighing up to 15 tons.

Hammer grab is a tool designed to remove loose soil or rock pre-crushed by the chisel from well bottomhole; it is used at cable-tool drilling rigs. We also overhaul grabs of different purpose, manufacture scoops, elements and parts.

9. Tremie equipment

The tremie method is used for well concreting in water-logged soils as well as for concreting of building structures of any purpose where concrete delivery height (free dropout) exceeds 3 meters in order to avoid concrete mixture segregation.

Standard tremie pipes diameters are 219 mm, 245 mm, and 325 mm. Any other diameters are also manufactured on client’s request.

The volume of the tremie funnel depends on well depth, its diameter, and minimal volume of the first concrete batch, as well as on displaced fluid volume; it equals 0.2 to 3 m.

The tremie set includes a tremie funnel, tremie pipes with length of 1 to 6 m, a tremie holder, a lifting cap and spare parts.

Tremie pipes are handled with the lifting link. The unit is equipped with height-adjustable supports. After centering on the pile the platform must be put into horizontal position by a crane, and platform supports must be adjusted by resting them on foundation pile elements.

Based on the terms of reference agreed upon with the Customer, our experts will promptly design and manufacture tremie pile concreting units of other sizes and with other design features.

Spare parts for casings and drilling tools

Spare parts comprise all cutting and coupling components of the drilling tools and casings: flat teeth, reinforced flat teeth, round shank chisels, standard flat pilots or rock pilots, casing screws, rings, etc.

Each worn out tooth, chisel or pilot must be completely replaced. If a rock pilot’s condition is satisfactory, it can be restored at the site of operations.

Upon request, we can manufacture coupling components of casings produced by any manufacturer, as well as cutting pieces of drilling tools with any geometry and parameters.
