The new collection of upholstered items “Garden”, thanks to a strong and immediate

design, shows at once its difference from the traditional ones...a new concept of sofa both

functionally and aesthetically. Elements consisting of two quite distinct parts characterize

the system: a basic and aesthetically neutral upholstered unit and a soft contrasting

eiderdown instead of the traditional cushions; this eiderdown, realized with precious

and highly decorated fabrics, is the real “look”of the sofa. If necessary, it can be replaced

without removing the cover of the basic unit. In this way it is very simple to wash the cover

that gets dirty easily and even to change the look of the sitting room.

The bearing frame is in pinewood; the upholstering is in high resilience soft polyuretanic

rubber with differentiated thickness and wrapping in acrylic fibre lap; the seat springs

on elastic belts. The eiderdown is upholstered with high quality goose feather and fixed

to the frame all around by means of polymeric bands “velcro” The first main point is the

decoration of the covers: no more the usual patterned fabrics with the same repeated

subject, but four new printed drawings with a very strong peculiarity.

Palms, Ficus benjamin, Coots and Branches, four graphic processings that transform

and transfigure the original photos with naturalist theme; a new interpretation from an

industrial viewpoint of the classic tapestries.

So the positioning of the decorative subjects on the eiderdowns in the different sizes

becomes unforeseeable and almost random: in this way each sofa is different from the

other ones and each piece is unique and unrepeatable, as the result of an artisan approach

already lost. The second important peculiarity is the wide flexibility of assembling:

twenty-two elements form the rich abacus that enables to suit the most different habitat

tipologies matching with any furnishing need: with high linear “square” armrest or low

inclined “triangular” one and a perimetral base in polished chromium-plated steel tube.

Finally the covers: both the fabrics and the patterns are available in various chromatic

solutions; from strong contrasts like white and black to softer combinations as red and

brown or to the more daring one: green and turquoise.

All these elements contribute to the achievement of a system that avoids the

homologations imposed by an industrial production in favour of an aesthetical and

assembling flexibility that are peculiar of a high-level product made to measure... an

example of a planning approach that we call “industrial personalization”.

La nuova collezione di imbottiti “Garden”, grazie ad un design forte ed immediato

manifesta subito le proprie diversità dagli imbottiti tradizionali… Una nuova concezione

di divano sia dal punto di vista funzionale che da quello estetico.

Il sistema è caratterizzato da elementi composti da due parti ben distinte: un corpo

base imbottito ed esteticamente neutro e una soffice trapunta a contrasto in luogo dei

tradizionali cuscini; quest’ultima, realizzata con tessuti di pregio e riccamente decorata,

costituisce il vero “volto” del divano e all’occorrenza può essere sostituita senza dover

sfoderare il corpo base. In questo modo risulta estremamente agevole sia lavare la parte

che più è soggetta allo sporco sia anche solo cambiare la finitura del salotto.

La struttura portante è in legno di abete, con morbida gomma poliuretanica ad alta

resilienza realizzata con quote differenziate, fasciata con falda di fibra acrilica che

molleggia su nastri elastici. La trapunta è imbottita con piuma d’oca di prima qualità

ed è fissata perimetralmente sulla struttura a mezzo nastri a strappo “velcro”. Il primo

punto di forza è la decorazione dei rivestimenti, non più il tema ripetuto “a rullo” delle

solite fantasie, ma quattro disegni stampati inediti dal carattere molto forte; Palme, Ficus

Benjamin, Folaghe e Rami, quattro elaborazioni grafiche che trasformano e trasfigurano

altrettante fotografie originali a tema naturalistico; una reinterpretazione in chiave

industriale degli arazzi classici. Il posizionamento stesso dei temi decorativi sulle diverse

misure delle trapunte risulta imprevedibile e quasi casuale, questo fa si che non esista

un divano uguale all’altro, ogni pezzo diventa unico e irripetibile frutto di un approccio

artigianale che si è ormai perduto. Il secondo aspetto saliente è rappresentato dalla grande

flessibilità compositiva: ventidue elementi costituiscono il ricco abaco che consente

di adattarsi alle più svariate tipologie di ambiente, soddisfacendo ogni esigenza di

arredamento, con bracciolo alto simmetrico “quadro” oppure basso inclinato “triangolo”

ed una base perimetrale in tubo d’acciaio cromato lucido.

Infine le finiture dei rivestimenti: sia i tessuti che le stampe sono disponibili in diverse

soluzioni cromatiche cha vanno dai contrasti forti del bianco e nero a combinazioni più soft

come rosso e marrone o al più ardito verde e turchese.

Tutti questi fattori concorrono alla realizzazione di un sistema che fugge dalle

omologazioni imposte dalla produzione industriale in favore di una flessibilità estetica

e compositiva più tipiche di un prodotto di alto livello creato “su misura”…un esempio

di un approccio progettuale che noi chiamiamo “personalizzazione industriale”.

La struttura portante è in legno di abete.Lo schienale ed i braccioli sono stratificati di compensato multistrati, imbottiti con morbida gomma poliuretanica ad alta resilienza realizzata con quote differenziate con fasciatura di falda di fibra acrilica.La seduta molleggia su nastri elastici.II cuscino seduta “trapunta”, intero nella sua lunghezza con lo schienale ed i brac-cioli, è imbottito con piuma d’oca di prima qualità ed è fissata perimetralmente sulla struttura a mezzo di nastri a strappo “velcro”.La base di supporto perimetrale è in tubo di acciaio cromato lucido.I rivestimenti sono completamente sfoderabili.
