The lightweight Mora cuts all the way through the ice without

stopping, fast and quietly.

The classic sudden stop – just as the auger goes through the ice –

is a thing of the past. And you can also forget about the equally

classic jam when you pull the drill out of the hole.

What you will remember is how good it felt the first time you drilled

with your Mora Nova. The new feel is due to the entirely new ergo-

nomic configuration. The design and construction were based on nat-

ural body movements. The result is an auger that saves physical en-

ergy and is easily adaptable to your height.

Mora Nova System auger units are made of a

strong, lightweight composite that always

maintains optimum cutting position. The composite

cutting unit provides much better form stability

and torsional rigidity than steel units.

The auger unit is very light and easy to re-

place. Simply loosen two screws and

tighten them again when you’re done

You can forget about the classic

sudden stop when you drill with Mora

Nova. It cuts all the way through the ice with

no frustrating jams. And you don’t have to push

extra hard to get through that final, toughest part of

the ice drilling, either.

The reason is the dual guide lugs behind the blade on the

strong, lightweight composite auger unit. The auger unit

slides on the guide lugs as you drill, giving the Mora Nova

auger smooth, stable action without jamming, all the way

through the ice.

The entire solution, including composite auger unit, guide

lugs and blade, is protected by a reinforced patent.

slightly pointier than on conventional ice augers. And the

factory-set cutting angle is always the same. You can rely on it.

on factors including careful selection of stainless commercial steel

to produce blades for different types of ice and unique,

product-customized heat treatment of the steel.

The Mora Nova auger is lightweight

and cuts very quietly through the ice.

The spiral is precision-pressed on the shank to

achieve the quiet action. You won’t find the usual

gap between spiral and shank on your Mora Nova.

The spiral component is made of Swedish high-tensile

steel, enabling a reduction in the thickness of the spiral. That

is one of the reasons the auger is more than 10 percent lighter

than conventional ice augers. And yet the Mora Nova’s capacity

to move the ice out of the way has not changed – meaning it is

very good indeed.

The shank has also been reworked. The diameter was increased for

functional and design reasons, while the wall thickness was reduced.

R&D has given the Mora Nova auger a shank that is very stable while

maintaining the same weight as conventional shanks. Tough stress

tests under bending show that the shank upholds a very high

standard of quality.

You can thank the Mora Nova System’s patented coupler –

Twinlock – for maximum freedom of choice. If you buy a Mora

Nova System with a manual head today, you can switch to a

power head later, since you attach the motor to the same base.

And, thanks to the patented coupler, it is impossible to attach

the manual head or motor the wrong way.

And if you happen to run out of gas, the Mora Nova

System won’t leave you stranded. All you have to do

is detach the motor, attach the manual head and

keep on drilling.
