Therefore, we have monthly parent meengs (coffee and conversaon), an annual celebraon for our parent volunteers and a Parent University program. We also offer excing community events with our families such as: Mulcultural Harvest Fesval Winter choral performances/student play Art appreciaon night/talent night Panther reading night/Book Fairs Back to School Night/Open House 6th grade promoon ceremony Strengthening Families program Partnership with Intel Our School: Preschool and Transional Kindergarten Visual and Performing Arts Program (VAPA) Aſter-school student care English Language Advisory Commiee School Site Council D.O.G.S. program - Dads of Great Students, promong school safety and student mentoring Monthly awards assemblies, Red Ribbon Week Photo booth for perfect aendance Notable Accomplishments Raising money for charity Food collected for our community Fresh Fruits and Vegetables program (offering salad bar) Excellence in Education Common Core State Standards (CCSS) Professional Learning Communies (PLCs) for staff with the focus on analyzing student data and using results to improve instruconal pracces to support student learning Staff professional development Enrichment Programs Castori Elementary provides extended-day tutoring for grades 1 - 6, a Giſted and Talented Educaon (GATE) program which offers classes to develop leadership skills, and science acvi- es to help students demonstrate an understanding of physi- cal science.
