SPEED BUMPS
Due to the fact that the neighborhood sits on a private road, not owned by the homeowners or the city, the association has requested the owner to allow the community to place speed bumps at the entrance to the neighborhood. We were told that the owner will not allow this. We have also requested the owners’ presence at the meeting to discuss options. He will not attend. This doesn’t mean that we can’t make changes. There are options available to us that we should further discuss. You may have noticed signs up that the city has given us. We want to be sure and thank our local authorities for all they do to ensure our neighborhood remains safe.
The Pond
This is a serious concern for our children. We
have discussed our options for this land, and
there simply isn’t much we can do. This is
required to stay open until the builder has
completed construction in the area. We have
had signs placed by the pond to help awareness
but please be vigilant about not allowing
children to play in that specific location.
Spring Cleaning
We would like to encourage the entire community to get out
over the next 2 weeks and really clean up the space around
your home and your yard. Its spring and we have beautiful
things about to bloom. Many hands make light work so if
were all out with the same outcome in mind we will be ready
for spring in no time at all!
BEWARE:
Sneaky onions are popping up everywhere! They are weeds
and can be controlled with weed killer. This is best done in
spring before full bloom begins. Keep an eye out for new
growth to keep onions from taking over.
Do you know your neighbors?
We would like to get to know you.
Active Duty, Teachers, Stay at home parents, Special needs, Doctors,
Lawyers, Retirees, and Students are just a few of the occupations held by
the residence of our community. Knowing who our neighbors are can
really help with the security and safety of Castlefield. Be aware of your
surroundings and speak up if you see something unusual. Step out and
come to a function. We would love to get to know you and your family.
