Tesco’s line of Casing Running Accessories have proven successful on rigs worldwide.

The industry has long understood the advantages of

reciprocating and rotating during cementing operations.

With Tesco cementing products and casing accessories, this

operation becomes simple for any operator to include into

their drilling program.

Made to compliment Tesco’s CDS, our Cement Swivel

provides an entry port for the cement between the CDS and

the top drive. This combination of equipment allows almost

immediate transition from casing running operations to

cementing, and it also allows the casing to be rotated and

reciprocated during the cementing process.

After casing reaches total depth, the top cement plug is

attached to the CDS, and the cementing line is rigged

up to the cement swivel. This allows for the injection of a

phenolic ball into the fluid stream after cementing, prior to

displacement, to release the cement plug from the CDS.

The CDS can then be stabbed into the casing and engaged,

and the casing may be lifted from the rotary table so rotation

and reciprocation is possible. Cement can then be pumped.

Once the top plug is ready to be pumped, the phenolic ball

is injected into the line. This will sit above the plug, and an

increase in pressure will allow the plug to shear from the

CDS tool allowing the displacement fluid to be pumped.

Tesco MLT Rings provide a positive make-up shoulder

when installed in standard API connections. This increases

torque capacity allowing use of API casing and tubing

connections in deviated wellbores which may have high

torque requirements and prevents couplings and pins

from erosion, sand, and abrasive flow. Tesco MLT Rings

can increase torque capabilities up to three times in API

connections. A direct compressive load path is created from

pin to pin, offering a more controlled connection. MLT Rings

also improve the longevity of a well’s life by smoothing the

J section from turbulent flow and protecting couplings from

erosion. Tesco MLT Rings are made of L80 material, however

they may be manufactured in P110 or Q125 materials upon

request.

Tesco’s Reaming Shoes overcome challenging wellbore obstructions such as bridges, high local dog legs, cutting beds,

ledges, sloughing formations and deviated holes. This helps to guide casing to total depth smoothly and efficiently. Our

latest model, the XTRM, is designed with a unique guide nose to minimize the amount of material removed during drill out.

Spiral blades help to condition the hole and provide centralization for cementing.

Tesco’s Hydroform Centralizers provide a proven alternative

to conventional centralizers in challenging hole sections

where pipe rotation maybe required to reach total depth and/

or during cementing operations.

Tesco Centralizers have a robust, patented design and

attachment method. The unique blade design enhances

circulation, hole cleaning, and cementing. Tesco offers

optional tungsten carbide hard-facing on blades for even

more resilience when drilling in abrasive formations. Rotating

and non-rotating centralizers are available.

Tesco Centralizers have a 100% success rate. Our

Centralizers hold up better in long, lateral sections and

provide optimum standoff in the annulus.
