OPPORTUNITYThe Event Company, located in Gloucester, Massachusetts is a full-service party rental company that has been serving the Cape Ann area and beyond for the past 15 years. The companies warehouse, totaling over 8,000 sq. feet, had an opportunity to significantly reduce monthly energy and maintenance costs by retrofitting the existing antiquated lighting system. The Event Company was looking to partner with a solutions provider to take advantage of utility incentives to pursue a successful energy savings project that would increase their return on investment.

SOLUTIONEnergy Source LLC, partnered with The Event Company to provide a comprehensive solution to help reduce overall energy usage and cut down on utility costs. Throughout the facility, the outdated fluorescent lamps were replaced with new high-efficient LED technology. Partnering with National Grid for utility incentive procurement, Energy Source assisted with various aspects of the program including scope development, project management, and completing the retrofit on time and within budget. The installation not only reduced energy usage but improved light output creating a more appealing environment for both customers and employees. Knowing the value of proper LED lighting, energy efficiency, and National Grid’s incentive of over $10,000 made upgrading to LED lighting a seamless and cost-effective choice. In just under 3.5 years, every LED in the project will pay for itself through the energy saved.
