Business Context:

Our client ClearHands Inc. wanted to address market opened up by USFDA regulation for food handlers to keep a log of Handwashing Events for Hygiene and Audit purpose

CleanHands asked Mapyn to design, engineer and create successful prototypes of a product that will address this requirements of USFDA.

Technical Context:

A modular system with central log and multiple hand wash locations to be monitored was important as it can be expanded as per business needs. It was essential that the system adheres to USFDA specs.

The system was to be powered by an Ethernet cable and use non-contact person identification mechanism

Our client had an electronic loom that had high cost small life Vacuum Florescent Displays (VFD)

These used to fail frequently and the cost of replacement was 25% of the machine cost

Client wanted these to be replaced by affordable LCD displays that last longer

Data capturing and analysis to decode the communication protocol between VFD module and host computer.
