Mission Project for this Month

Zimkids Enabling vulnerable families in Zimbabwe
to look towards a brighter future.
Zimkids is running really well post-Mugabe's resignation! Politically things are quiet thus far and the team are working well together and doing incredibly well as a leadership team despite the loss of Puff. Here are some of the high lights.
Education
Our township teachers receive training every Monday so they can use what
they learn with their classes for the rest of the week.
The team are going to start monthly workshops with the Township Teachers
and extended team (Self-sufficiency trainers - Amai Kuda & Baldwin) in May with the aim of investing in them more spiritually.
The team are currently working on budgets to build an extension in Mutoko for
when the rain subsides. Their vision is to extend for classroom space during the day and learning centres after school.
Of the kids that have been placed in better schools this year; Tatenda has
come 3rd in class in Grade 6, Violet got 6 A's/1 B/ 1 C in her first term in form 2, Peter has been awarded an accommodation scholarship at University.
Self-Sufficiency
With the £500 Christmas giving from the UK we bought and planted fruit-trees
to create mini-orchards in each of our townships.
Amai Kuda, our amazing self-sufficiency trainer, is currently undertaking
various workshops in Mutoko, Epworth and Hoply to better understand the needs of families there so that we can run relevant training going forward.
Life-skills We have three camps coming up - one with 8 boys to learn to farm and expose them to a different way of life, one for teens in Harare , one for teens with Operation Mobilisation. These camps are so important for the teens to experience a few days away from home-life. With thanks for your ongoing support. Lauren and the Zimkids team. www.zimkids.org
Due to slightly lower missions giving in April, we've missed our target for the ministry of Jews for Jesus. In 1 Cor 8:11 Paul says, "now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it".
