The City of Perth's Carnival Macabre returns for its second year to celebrate Halloween, Day of the Dead and All Saints Day with a festival of thrills and chills!

There's more than a week of spooky festivities throughout Northbridge promising to excite with performances, film screenings, exhibitions, food markets, Halloween parties and plentyof opportunities to dress up.

Check out themed Halloween window displays at participating Northbridge shops and look at the back of this guide for discount vouchers on shopping, dining and free trick or treat packs.

To celebrate the Mexican tradition of Day of the Dead, a display of the traditional altars for the Dead will be erected in the community building at the Northbridge Piazza, and on the wall behind the Piazza screen. The altar is like a welcoming portal for beloved departed who come back for one night to share food and drink with friends and family in a celebration of life. With this long-standing, much loved Mexican tradition, dead is not the end, it is just a continuation.

Construction: 12 noon on 26 Oct. Open for viewing 6.30pm 8.30pm on 30 Oct, 31 Oct, 1 Nov. Also open on Mexican Day ofthe Dead 2 Nov from 3pm.

The Van Gogh, Dal & Beyond exhibition from New Yorks Museum of Modern Art is now on. For the week of the festival, each ticket purchased to the exhibition gives you a free make-your-own macabre mask activity for kids inspired by Salvador Dals darker works. Hip-Hop dance and street fashion now with a Halloween theme! The aim of Rock the Bridge is to raise public awareness of whats happening in your neighbourhood. There will be stalls selling food, street fashion and wares. Hosted by MC Rami, dance acts include Clique crew, CDA, Unbreakables, Tridogy and Cop KM. Performers include Jeremiah Morgan, Bsyde, Da Fisher Boys, Emcee Trooth, DJ Karl Blue and Angry Budda.

Join in the party atmosphere as this pop-up shop offering designs and homewares by WA artists gets into the Halloween spirit.
