Hey clients, friends and dear appreciated followers of
our work here at the C10 studio! What’s this you’re
sending me you ask? Well it’s not your Momma’s
newsletter that’s for sure!
We know that with everything online all the time you
have access to so much visual stimulation! Keeping
track of it all can be a daunting task! Putting it out
there for people can be a full time job as well, as we
all here at the studio are finding... so I thought, what
better way than to have an online e-zine beautifully
designed by our client and studio BFF Nichole Michel
of Coral Pheasant! Here, many of our favorite shoots
can be seen as a finished product, all design-y and
pretty, just how we like ‘em!
When I shoot, I try to keep the finished product
in mind whether it’s your wedding album, the
inspirational wedding book I am currently shooting
for or a magazine editorial. How it all fits together
visually helps tell the story of whatever I am shooting,
and I love it!
I invite you to grab a nice hot beverage, sit back and
enjoy catching up with us!
All feedback is appreciated and I'd love to hear from
you. Drop me a line at [email protected]!

TenC PHOTO TIP
Your parent dances are a time for you to take
a moment and just be with your Mom and Dad during
your wedding. Some advice that I wish I could
impart for your parent dances – stop talking
and watch! Or if someone approaches you, have
them enjoy the dance with you and watch on.
Don’t let anyone interrupt your pausing to take
in the sweet and emotional moment your spouse
is having with their parent.

Sage and Andrew had a romantic estate wedding at
the Elm Court Estate in the quaint town of Lenox,
Massachusetts. The flowers were so dreamy and
the epitome of romantic! Sage’s dress from the
Plumed Serpent was flowy and soft, paired with
her intense fuschia Kate Spade shoes and made this
photographer soooooo happy. Sage and Andrew
had an emotional first look and the rain stopped
just in time for the ceremony to be outside, just
as they both dreamed!

yellows and creams filled with romantic florals done
by the talented Elizabeth of Blush Floral Design.

NIKKI & ROBnew orleans
Heading to New Orleans for a destination wedding on the
streets of the French Quarter? Yes please! Despite the rain,
Nikki and Rob had a BLAST bopping around the Quarter
with me ducking in alleys to stay dry while having fun the
whole time. The bride had her totally gorgeous succulent
bouquets done by Datura: A Modern Garden flown down
all the way from Connecticut! We ended the night with
Nikki and Rob snuggled at the foot of the stunning foun-
tain covered in candles... hands down some of my favorite
pictures I have ever taken!

BB2BRIDE TO BRIDE ADVICE
Our year of wedding planning unexpectedly
transformed into a period of meaningful
and memorable time spent with one anoth-
er and among family and friends. Take time
during your wedding to remind yourself of
these special moments and how all that
love is swirling around one room.

One of my favorite magazines to shoot editorials for has got
to be Bliss Celebrations Magazine. It is always such a trusting
collaboration of some of the most creative people in the
industry. On this shoot I worked hand in hand with the art
director and publisher of Bliss to create the perfect cover photo
for the magazine. It was almost like solving a visual puzzle and
I loved every minute of it! Once the cover was secured they
let me have complete creative control of the inside editorial-
which is the highest form of creative trust and I just shot from
my heart! I was incredibly lucky to work with the following
vendors on this shoot – all of whom consistently bring their
A-game to each and every shoot we collaborate on together!

It was hard enough picking sixty images to put into our
wedding album but picking my top two favorite pictures
from the best day of my life was nearly impossible.
My first pick is the one of Mr. K twirling me around mid
smooch in the middle of Pratt Street with a car headed
in our direction. While our guests were enjoying a mix of
some of our favorite songs Carla snuck us away to grab
some air and time to ourselves near the end of what
had been an incredible day. I think that’s a big part of
what draws me to this picture.
The picture itself looks like it should be in a movie and
its hard to believe that’s us. The lighting is awesome
and the background of the brick road, streetlights and
cars make for a unique picture that could only be ours.
-Liz Kurantowicz-
My second pick captures an impromptu dance party in the middle
of dinner. I was walking the tables greeting some of our guests
when our song came on. I yelled to my Dad to meet me on
the dance floor and slowly my siblings joined us. Unfortunately
for our guests not only did they have to watch us play the air
guitar, saxophone and various other invisible instruments but
we sang too and at the top of our lungs. My Dad has played this
song for me in the car since I was a little girl and my siblings
and I know every word, beat and pause to this song. The song
is “Desert Skies” by Marshall Tucker and it sums up a whole lot
for the Stafford family. This picture captures the absolute joy of
a family who didn’t think we all might be able to enjoy the day
together. I don’t think I ever remember seeing us all so happy.

This June my family and I had the thrill of going to Kauai for the
first time. It was a dream come true on so many levels.
We stayed on the south west side of the island in Waimea. It was non-touristy and had some real local
flavor, exactly what we were looking for! The kids and I enjoyed adventuring around the island and exploring new
beaches, many of which were hard to find so actually getting there was part of the excitement! We lived each day
out of the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook – it never steered us wrong in the things it suggested for us to do. If you
ever plan a trip to Kauai this book is a MUST HAVE!

Another favorite pastime was trying
to find the best shave ice on island.
Believe me when I tell you it was a
very fun project! A lot of hard work,
but I took one for the team in the
effort to find it. I will let you discover
which is your favorite when you go,
since they are all different.

One of the best beaches we went to was Poi’pu on the
south shore. It is awesome for families and was some of
the best snorkeling I have ever done. The beach has a
cool layout where two beaches meet in the middle then
leads out to an awesome lava pool area perfect for kids
to explore. Hands down the best vacation we have been
on; I can’t recommend Kauai enough!
