GUIDELINES
1. The competition begins on September 1st, 2019 and is open to students from Forms 1 - 3 in Secondary Schools within Caribbean Public Health Agency Member States.
2. Staff of the Caribbean Public Health Agency, and their family members are not allowed to participate in the competition.
3. All entries must depict the theme “Empowering Young Leaders in the Fight against Mosquito
Borne Diseases”
4. Each submission must be accompanied by a signed and stamped Application Form. 5. Submissions can be from one or both of the following categories:
• Category 1 Health Promotion: A maximum of one video and one 1 poster per school
• Category 2 Active Mosquito Surveillance: One photograph per school 6. To qualify, all entries must be submitted on or before 5.00p.m. on October 31st, 2019.
• By post: Caribbean Public Health Agency, 16-18 Federation Park, Jamaica Boulevard, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, or
• Artwork for digital poster must be done at the following dimensions: i. Width 3ft x Height 4ft.
• Printed poster submission must also be at i. width 3ft x height 4ft.
8. Videos • Format: MP4 • Length: maximum of 3 minutes • Video does not need to be professionally produced. It can be made using your phone
or video camera. However, the video quality must be clear, clean and undistorted • No copyrighted materials (music, images, etc.) may be used for this competition unless
you own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this contest. Written
permission must be obtained and provided upon request for all copyright materials.
9. Photographic submission • Images must be saved in jpeg file format • Maximum of 5MB • Submitted in colour or black and white • While some digital alteration may be permitted, please keep in mind this not a
Photoshop competition. Images that appear to be overly processed may be disqualified at the judges’ discretion.
