Early College Connection

MVCTC is preparing students for success! Through a varietyof programs, MVCTC students are preparing for college, earningcollege credits, and getting on-the-job training.

The Articulation Program requires that students spend two yearsat MVCTC, followed by two years at a partnering college ortechnical school. Selected credits earned at MVCTC are transferableto the partner college where they apply toward a degree.

In the College Tech Prep Program, students focus on developingspecific skill sets in technical, high-demand fields. Studentstaking this pathway to college will find themselves enteringcollege at a higher readiness level and with college credits alreadyto their name—and, often, with a Tech Prep Scholarship for theirachievements.

The School-To-Work-Apprenticeship Program at MVCTC is anationally recognized program. MVCTC students are matched withregistered apprenticeship employers in their chosen field ofinterest while they are attending MVCTC. Students find thisoption rewarding, as it allows for immediate transition to theworkforce with the opportunity to pursue higher education. As a result of solid work practices and ethics learned at MVCTC,many employers may offer tuition reimbursement to assist studentsin their career development.

MVCTC, Miami University of Middletown (MUM), and Wright StateUniversity have partnered to deliver Dual Credit courses to ourstudents. Dual Credit is not PSEO. Dual Credit allows studentsthe opportunity to remain on the MVCTC campus, take college-level courses, and earn both high school andcollege credits.

Who’s going to college? At MVCTC the questions is: Who’s not going to college?

Ohio Graduation Test
