Upon successful completion of this topic, the trainee will be able to:

IDENTIFY the purpose of the Career Development Training Course (CDTC).

LIST the source of CDTC lesson guides. IDENTIFY CDTC topics for Career

Development Team (CDT) monthly training. LIST the steps to prepare CDT monthly

training.

IDENTIFY the process to verify training level for all CDT members is maintained at 100%.

IDENTIFY the process to document training on NAVPERS 1070/604, Enlisted Qualification History, and on the online Career Information Management System (CIMS).

CONDUCT monthly CDT training supporting CDTC lesson topics or topics from NAVPERS 15560(series), Military Personnel Manual (MILPERSMAN).

Training is the key ingredient to a successful Career Development Program and is necessary to assist in providing adequate and accurate career information to our Sailors.

CCCs must have the most up-to-date techniques, technology, and information available.

Trained CDT members are essential to a successful Career Development Program.

CIN A-501-0011.2-week CCC Naval Reserve

Course, CIN R-501-0005.Both of these courses are

identified in the Catalog of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC).

Career Development Training Course (CDTC):Is the primary source of training for

CDT members.Must be completed as a prerequisite

to becoming a CDT member.The training level must be

maintained at 100% by CDT members.

CCC Monthly Training Preparation

The CCC is required to provide monthly training to the CDT.

Preparation includes:Preparing monthly schedule using CDTC

topics.Using existing CDTC PowerPoints.Reviewing references for topic, including

new information if applicable.Preparing topic handouts, activities, etc.Being prepared to answer questions.

Verify completed CDTC training using CIMS:Ensure training level for CDT

members is maintained at 100%.Document CDT training on NAVPERS
