STRATEGIC PLAN 2011-2012
VISION
• Have students gain pre-professional experience before graduating.
• Allow students that have not had the opportunity to go to internships or co-ops to volunteer and gain experience, leadership and networking skills.
• Have the engineering students volunteer at least one day a week for 5 hours. (Company Discretion)
• Nominations/Selections will be based on merit system
VISION
• 6 departments within the college.
• Have a minimum of 3 companies per department.
• Benefiting (90-180 students) per semester
• Have a list of participating companiesby 08/15/2011
SHORT TERM GOALS
• Promote applications/nominations and program for a month.
• Application deadline: 09/23/2011• Begin 8 week program within the fall 2011
semester.
First week: October 1st -7th Ending Period: December 1st -3rd

• Establish a long-term relationship program with local companies.
• Engineering College & UTEP Community known for constant participation and volunteering in this program.
• Establish program for all colleges.• Sponsorship
LONG TERM GOALS
• Pre-professional experience prior to graduation.
• Heads up when looking for a job.• Accessible and affordable.• Provides opportunities to non-citizens .• Promotes UTEPs leadership and community
involvement.• Leadership and networking skills.
