• The concept of career coaches is to put career pathways in the hands of the students early enough for them to make wise career choices – as early as 7th grade

REASON FOR THE INITIATIVE

• A unique resource stationed in high schools to assist students in career exploration.

• A person who:• “Thinks with” the student about future career

plans• Teaches sound decision making techniques• Assists with action planning to move forward in

whatever direction they choose• Prepares students for introduction into the

workforce• Provides connections with resources
