Life Planning and Career Guidance
“A deliberate process to plan one’s life holistically, including major life domains such as work, learning, relationships, and leisure; and to engage actively in steps for implementing these plans in one’s social context.”
Life planning is an ongoing and lifelong process for personal fulfillment, with different foci at different stages of the life time.
◦ It connects with school’s curriculum components, and through it students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude to make wise choices in accordance with their interests, abilities and orientations; and guided to integrate their career/academic aspirations with whole-person development and life-long learning.
Career: The sequence and variety of work roles (paid and unpaid), which one undertakes throughout a lifetime to actualise one’s potential; career includes life roles, leisure activities, learning and work.
