On the 17th March 2011 the participants of the Socrates Comenius Project took part in the seminary entitled: „ Full-change and Uncertainty approaches for assessing health risks in Future environmental scenarios – project FUN” realized as a part of the EU Sixth Framework Programme. The programme was concentrated on the assessment of consequences and health risks that are the results of many harmful factors, and the improvement of the models that simulate the movement of the environment pollution.

Page 25: Care for the natural landscape complex – Uroczysko Buczyna Care for the natural landscape complex – Uroczysko Buczyna Research for Frangula Alnus Research.

Within the project practical examples have been prepared. They were varied due to: a time and space scale, environmental stimuli, a main risk way, and a method of the assessment of the influence of pollution on people’s health. The practical examples were held in three European countries: Portugal, France and Poland. The aim was:assessment of consequences and health risks that are the results of many factors that are harmful on the people’s organisms improvement of the models that simulate the movement of the environment pollutionimprovement and harmonization of the procedures of health risks assessment for a chosen population groupanalysis of uncertainty and sensitivity of the used methodsMoreover, the purpose of the project was to make the tools to:assessment of the pollution condition and exposure of peopleenvironment and health management

As a part of the Socrates Comenius programme, our students took a test connected with all the actions carried out within the project. The test related to the topic of plants, Frangula Alnus and Atropa Belladonna, and the natural landscape complex, Uroczysko-Buczyna, where the ecological workshops were organised and held by a scientist of the Silesian University in Katowice.
