The Sol-R-Therm is a domestic hot water system, which can supply almost all* of your homes potable hot water needs, in addition to providing water heating for pools and spas during the summer months. The NTI Sol-R-Therm System consists of SRT-215 flat plate collectors, Trin & Stor solar tank, SRT-su21 pump station, flush roof mount kit, solar piping, expansion tank, and heat transfer fluid. For commercial solar applications, an engineered flat roof mount system is available for US and Canadian customers. Roof anchors are optional. See NTI website for more details. Depending on the package selected, an NTI Sol-R-Therm system will consist of two or three flat plate collectors which should be installed in a southerly facing direction, typically on a roof. Due to the efficiency of the collector, the pitch of most sloped roofs is sufficient and surface roof mounting is adequate. The heat transfer fluid used by the NTI Sol-R-Therm prevents freezing, reduces overheating and allows the collector to be used all year round regardless of the climate type. The heat transfer fluid is

circulated through the collector and transfers the heat captured by the absorber plate to the Trin & Stor solar tank. The pumping station calculates the availability of the energy from the sun and if adequate, circulates it to the bottom of the storage tank. If the available solar energy is not sufficient to provide the required domestic hot water load, the controller will activate an auxiliary heat source to automatically supplement the load, either via an auxiliary backup water heater (gas or electric), or an NTI high efficiency heating appliance. *Capacity depends on water usage, configuration and solar availability. Optional wall start display that can be remotely mounted anywhere in the building. The display is also available in a large format for training institutions.

The SRT-su21 Pumping Station continuously monitors all aspects of the solar system. The control displays the current operational status and is easily programmed to obtain the optimal system efficiency. The SRT-su21 contains all the necessary plumbing for the system including: a circulation pump, balancing valves, air scoop, relief valve, thermometers, manometer, and flow meter.
