Who We Are…
Capernaum Inn is a peaceful and quiet retreat for Chris8an Pastors and Church Leaders who desire a
place to get into the presence of God by themselves, with their families or with others in the Body of Christ.
About Our Founder
Jim Way served as Execu&ve Director of Renewed Life Ministries for twenty-‐four years. Renewed Life Ministries involved over five-‐hundred Churches from Palm Beach County through Indian River County in various outreaches, conferences, leadership mee8ngs, etc. Fourteen Senior Pastors served on Renewed Life Ministries Board, represen8ng close to forty-‐thousand parishioners on the east coast of Florida. Jim was a Management Consultant to Na8onal Manufacturing Industries for twenty-‐five years before he was called to full-‐8me ministry.
Our History Timeline Ø 1982-‐Renewed Life Ministries sponsored a yearly men’s retreats at
Dunklin Memorial Camp Ø 1990-‐The Business, Civic, and Ministry Coali8on in Saint Lucie
County was community. Ø 1995-‐Renewed Life Ministries was absorbed into the fold
Capernaum Ministries (formerly called Visita8on House) Ø 2000 through 2001-‐A Founda8on presented a substan8al dona8on
to build Capernaum Inn. Ø Summer of 2009-‐Another substan8al dona8on was given for a
beau8ful piece of property on Lake Pierce (approximately 20-‐acres) with six hundred feet of lakefront with eight cabins, a guest house, mee8ng and dining facili8es.
Ø March 1, 2010-‐Capernaum Ministries opened Capernaum Inn, a Pastor’s Retreat and Conference Center.

Tuesday morning. Ø The Purchase of Property that has eight cabins, a 2-‐
BR Guest House, Several Mee8ng Rooms, and a Main Lodge area suitable for Larger Groups (up to 65)
Ø Began “Women of Prayer” – and intercessory prayer ministry that meets the fourth Saturday of each month – to pray for the city and to minister to one another.
Ø Formed the “Business, Civic, & Ministry Coali8on of Lake Wales”
Ø Reaching 5 Local Schools and Impac8ng students, teachers, parents and community.
Ø Bringing the Business Leaders together for a Bible Study & Prayer Breakfast every Friday morning
Ø Raised funds and implemented High School Entrepreneur Program-‐Lake Wales HS
