PREHISTORIA

Hace 12.000 años nuestra región ya estaba habitada. Algunos de sus habitantes eran magníficos artistas como se demuestra en “ALTAMIRA”

EDAD ANTIGUAEstuvieron los romanos. Tuvo que venir el mismísimo emperador Augusto para vencer a los bravos cántabros.

Por Cantabria pasaba una ruta del camino jacobeo (Camino de Santiago).

Por ese motivo tenemos bellos edificios románicos.

EDAD MODERNALa nao “Santa María” que participó en el descubrimiento de América era del cartógrafo cántabro Juan de la Cosa.

Fue una época de progreso y esplendor como demuestran los palacios y “casonas” que tenemos por toda Cantabria.
