This newly established People and Capability Advisor role will be essential in supporting the General Manager of People and Capability to build the human potential and enhance individual, team, and organisational capability. To support this team in its people strategy and achieving its objectives, Delta is looking for their next People and Capability Advisor. You will be joining the HR team who support over 600 employees! You will be nurtured and developed to grow within the team by working in the areas that really make you spark! Is this you?

About the opportunity Reporting to the General Manager People and Capability, the People and Capability Advisor will play a critical role in supporting the GM in providing Human Resource services across the team of over 600! In addition the People and Capability Advisor will work alongside the HR team to offer support and advice when required. In doing this the People and Capability Advisor will:

⋅ Support the General Manager to deliver a full suite of HR functions across the business ⋅ Support the wider team to ensure smooth delivery of HR services ⋅ Support the design, development and delivery of training when required ⋅ Provide employee relations support and engagement ⋅ Ensure employment information is accurate and maintained across the group ⋅ Assist with recruitment function across the business including the preparation of employment

About you To be successful as the People and Capability Advisor, you will ideally have a relevant tertiary degree in the discipline of Human Resources and bring with you at least two – four years’ experience in a generalist Human Resources role. You will be a self-starter who is ready to get involved in all areas of a People and Capability functions, with a willingness to not only support in all areas where required, but in questioning and challenging the status quo, and encouraging new and better ways of working. With a strong focus on the customer experience, you will foster the Delta values and way of working principles in all your working relationships. You will be a strong communicator and as someone who can listen attentively, you will understand the true value of teamwork. We are looking for someone who is ready to hit the ground running, is eager to learn, and excited about supporting the continuous improvement orientation of the People and Capability function. People and Capability Advisor Purpose: To provide support to the General Manager People & Capability in

delivering the full range of Human Resources services to 600 Delta employees. Coordination of all HR functions managing the employee life cycle. Maintenance of records and reporting are crucial for the internal delivery of HR services. Provide coaching and support to managers and staff and guide the disciplinary processes. Utilise HR systems (SharePoint Online, LMS 365, MyPay, NetSuite, QPulse, JobAdder, DocuSign, Checkmate etc). Responsible for quality and consistency in HR service delivery to managers and staff.

Reports to: General Manager People and Capability

1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Accountabilities

Indicators of Success

Health and Safety Health and Safety policies, as per the Health and Safety Handbook, are followed.

Human Resource Business Delivery

Assist and deputise for General Manager as required across the range of HR functions (including recruitment, performance management & disciplinary process, learning & development, succession planning, employee benefits, HR systems, data, and analytics). Assists other members of the team where required to ensure smooth delivery of the entire HR service including the management of Individual and Collective agreements. Liaise and negotiate with Unions as required.

Employment agreement preparation

Assists in the production of accurate employment agreements, in line with our policy and company strategy.

Maintenance of HR information Employment information is accurate and maintained. Inconsistency and variations dealt with promptly. Regular analysis and audits conducted Personnel files maintained and current HR information, such as policies and standards, maintained in the appropriate systems.

Recruitment Assistance Working with the recruitment lead, advertising placed in line with policy on JobAdder, in newspapers and with agents as requested. Screening, coordination of interviews and reference checking is conducted as required.

Immigration Assistance and Advice

Provide quality end to end service for international candidates joining Delta and for current employees’ renewal of Work Visas.

Use of HRMIS Training of staff

HRMIS or equivalent software utilised effectively including recruitment software. As required for team members and Delta employees. Help design and build appropriate training and deliver it to a variety of audiences.

Position description alignment Consistent application of position description template and guidelines, via proactive support to managers.

General administration Administrative support provided for HR completed accurately, promptly, and professionally i.e., filing, bookings, diary management etc.

Other related duties may be required from time-to-time and as directed by the General Manager. 2. PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

Essential Desirable Formal Qualifications

HR diploma or HR bachelor’s degree. Membership of HRNZ, already having achieved, or working towards, chartership status.

Skills and Experience

An experienced HR practitioner with at least two to four years’ experience in the field. A good understanding of human resource practices and relevant legislation. Experience preparing employment agreements. Experienced MS Suite user. Able to learn new software effectively. Strong administrative skills, able to supervise and carry out typical administrative tasks and accurately prepare documents. Excellent customer service skills, responding to requests promptly, accurately and appropriately. A self-starter, who is both organised and disciplined. Proven history of solving complex issues. Ability to manage competing demands and conflicting priorities

Attributes Confidentiality is vital, with privacy issues regarding personal and company information relevant at all times. Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills. Able to establish effective, long term professional relationships across the company. Problem solving skills, with the ability to see alternative solutions and evaluate and implement them.
