The main tourist attraction in Canada are the famous Niagara Falls in Ontario, it receives more than 12 million visitors every year. There are other places that are important too, for example: Mont Royal Park(Montreal), Stanley Park(Vancouver), Canada’s Wonderland in Ontario…

The capital of Canada is Ottawa, it has 1.083.391 inhabitants. The people that live there are normal, it’s a country without discrimination, because there are a lot of immigrants and it’s so multicultural. There are from 4h to 9h of delay from Spain to Canada.

They have influence from USA and England. The French zones have more French influence than from USA and England, two typical meals there are: 1-Tourtière(from the French zone, Quebec): It’s a kind of meat pie, they eat it in Christmas and new year’s eve.

2-Maple syrup: They collect it in spring from a tree. It’s a syrup that gives sweet taste to foods like crepes.

• Winter Carnival, Quebec City(February): This famous annual event is the biggest winter festival in the world. Activities are held all across the city and include parades, a snow slide, boat races…

• Caribana, Toronto(July/August): The largest Caribbean festival in North America, this three-week festival attracts over a million participants, including hundreds of thousands of USA tourists. The festival highlight is the Caribana Parade, thousands of brilliantly costumed masqueraders throng the streets and a lot of trucks carry live artists playing their ethnic music as they jam the 1.5 km parade route all day. Based on the Trinidad Carnival, Caribana now also includes the music, dance, food and costumes of Jamaica, Guyana, the Bahamas, Brazil and other cultures represented in Toronto.

The most common sports in Canada are ice hockey, lacrosse, Canadian football, basketball, soccer, curling and baseball. Ice hockey and lacrosse are the official winter and summer sports. Curling is regarded by Western Canadians to be the most important community sport.

England colonized U.S.A and Canada, so English people gave them the language. The French part was colonized by French

and that’s why they speak French language in Quebec, Quebec is the most important French part but there are other provinces

that speak French too, for example, Ontario.

Canada is located in the north of the American continent, with the Atlantic Ocean on the east, the Pacific Ocean on the west and the Arctic Ocean to the north.
