A wall of windows opens up the lobby and balcony to the Fort Brown Resaca view.

The arts Center

The beauty of the lobby continues into the restrooms, with ceramic tile

wainscoting, marble vanities and a blue glass tile backsplash.

The Patron’s Room and Rehearsal Hall on the second level opens onto the Patron’s Terrace. Special acoustical ceiling tiles have been strategically placed.

This cascade of wires will control all the audience chamber lighting.

Cars will be able to circle around the main entrance to drop off passengers at the front doors and box office windows.

The arts Center (continued)

The new Taylor Drive now has its curbs poured and awaits asphalt.

As seen from the stage and again from the top of the balcony, workers are installing the decorative ironwork that goes along the balcony railing.

Taken from the balcony of the Life and Health Sciences Building, these three photos, top to bottom, show the Science & Technology Learning Center (1) in relation to the Old Cotton Compress and the parking lot, (2) in full view with the second floor decking in place, and (3) in relation to its companion building with its partially completed foundation. The greenery beyond is along the banks of the Lozano Banco Resaca.

Commandant’s Quarters

Commissary Building

new sidewalk lighting

The new pine ceiling replaces the former acoustical tile suspended cieling. A beautiful inlaid marble medallion

adorns the restroom on the main floor.

The new sidewalk to the Recreation, Education and Kinesiology Center and athletic fields is now brightly lit with

the campus signature light poles.

All fine craft work on the Commandant’s Quarters is being done by UTB/TSC employees. Here, restoration team member Ruben Salazar builds the library’s oak bookshelves.
