C A M p l e t e S o l u t i o n s I n c . w w w . c a m p l e t e . c o m 1.0 Overview This document explains how to import Heidenhain Cycle 262 (Thread Milling) from MasterCAM into CAMplete TruePath. 2.0 MasterCAM Setup In MasterCAM you need to edit your post file (.pst). 1) From the Control definitionpage you should have an editable Post processor selected. 2) Under Control topics:find Text, then expand to find Mill Drill Cycles.3) Right click on [drill cycle 12] (if not available choose an empty column) 4) If you have a supplied .txt file, choose Import->Category->From textand select the file. 5) The parameters should now appear as below (these fields can be edited manually). 3) When creating a Drill Toolpathyou should be able to select Cycle 262 from the Cycle drop list. The parameter page should appear as below.

2.0 MasterCAM Setup
In MasterCAM you need to edit your post file (.pst).1) From the Control definition page you should have an editable Post processor selected.2) Under Control topics: find Text , then expand to find Mill Drill Cycles. 3) Right click on [drill cycle 12] (if not available choose an empty column)4) If you have a supplied .txt file, choose Import->Category->From text and select the file.

2) Go to Tools > Options3) Click File Types4) Select Mastercam and click “Advanced Properties”5) In “Cycle Settings”, enable “Use Default NCI Cycle Parameter Mapping below”6) Enable “Remap Cycle Types From NCI File”7) Select Cycle 11 (this will be a different number if you did not select drill cycle 12 when customizing your.pst file (Section 2, step 3), and choose Thread Milling Cycle from the drop list.
8) Close the dialog9) Close the CAMplete TruePath application

2) Go to Tools > NC Format Editor3) Edit the NC Format section for “Thread Milling” under the “Cycle Sections” entry.4) Ensure that there are codes in the code layout . If not, click the “Reset” button.5) Close the NC Format Editor6) This change needs to be made for all NC Formats
NOTES:
• As this is a machine controlled cycle, the displayed tool path and simulation may not be match theactual machine motion.
• To adjust the number of points displayed around each revolution of the tool path, modify thenumber found under Tools>Options>Advanced>Cycles>Points per Arc.
