A Fine PainterThis class is for artists! Learn to look at the world differently, experiment with color, and paint! Use oil pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and tempera to paint the world around you. We’ll discuss famous works of art for inspiration and let our imagi-nations take the lead. You’ll have the chance to share and discuss your projects on a daily basis.

Animals in ArtExplore a different animal each day in this class. We’ll talk about what the animal looks like, its habitat, and our emotional responses to it. Using pencil, oil pastel, and watercolor, play and experiment with drawing a lion, tiger, turtle, or bear. Discuss famous artists who have used animals in their work, such as Albrecht Durer's rhinos or Franz Marc’s blue horses.

Art Around the WorldExplore art from different cultures! We will create a rich variety of arts and crafts from different countries, such as pinatas and milagros from Mexico, origami Samurai helmets from Japan, and woven Native American baskets.

Experiences in Music Prepare for a week of experiencing music in all its forms. Partici-pate in drum circles using African djembe drums, play Orff xylophones, and strum the guitar or ukulele in a culminating concert. Explore musical genres including rock and roll, hip hop, jazz, folk, and classical.
