French WayThe “Camino Frances” is the most popular route on the Camino. It starts at St-Jean-Pied-de-Port on the French side of the Pyrenees. This route goes through the magnificent cities of Pamplona, Logrono, Burgos and Leon, be-fore entering Galicia, ending in the stunning Santiago de Compostela.

On reaching Santiago de Compostela, you have the opportunity to continue your experience on the Finisterre Way. This is the only cami-no that begins in Santiago de Compostela.This route pre-dates Christianity and was believed to be the “end of the world” (Costa da Morte)The pilgrimage finishes at the top of the cliffs of Finisterre, overlook-ing the Atlantic ocean.

Original WayThe original way or the Camino Primitivo, got its name as it was the first pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. In the 9th century Pelayo, rediscovered the tomb of St. James.The Camino de Santiago and St. James became de-facto symbols of the “Reconquista” and the oppression of Christians. Today, the Cami-no Primitivo is the most challenging of all the Camino Ways. It crosses the Cantabzian Mountains, with outstanding views over the Pico de Europa. It gives trekkers an opportunity to push themselves.

The Portuguese way is a good alternative for pilgrims that are look-ing for a more rural experience on the Camino. It starts in Lisbon – the Portuguese capital and home to many UNESCO sites, passes through Santarem – the Moorish Bastions in Portugal, Coimbra – one of the first Universities, Porto – a UNESCO city and home to portified wine port, and finished in Santiago.

In 1987 the way of St. Jaume was declared European Cultural Itinerary and in 1993 was added to the World Heritage list of UNESCO sites. Once in Logrono, you can con-tinue your adventure on the French way.

Vezelay WayThe Vezelay Way runs southwest from the small town of Vezelay. Vézelay Abbey hosts the remains of Mary Magdalene and is a major starting point for pilgrims on the Way of St. James to Santiago de Compostela. The route takes you across the foothills of the limousin, the hills and valleys of the Perigord, the large plains of Aquitaine and on to the wooded Landes region. It joins the French Way in St Jean Pied-de-Port.

The route passes through some fantastic scenery starting out with Kent in England, the World War 1 Battlefields in Normandy and Champagne in France, the Alps in Swizerland, Abruzzo, Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio in Italy. The majority of the walking takes places on off-road tracks and ancient Roman roads.

The Via Francigena is the ancient route to Rome, beginning in Can-terbury, England and making its way through France, Switzerland and on into Italy. In medieval times it was an important route for pilgrims heading south. It was designated as a European Cultural Route by the Council of Europe in 1994.

St. Pauls Way (Turkey)The name of the trail derives from the fact that a part of it follows the route of St. Paul the Apostle on his missionary journey to Anatolia in the south of the country.

The Jesus Trail (Israel)The Jesus Trail is a hiking trail of 65 km in the area of Galilee in Israel. Through its historical and religious sites, this trek conveys the life of Jesus in this region. Following in Jesus’ footsteps, you will engage in the secrets of the most widely practised religion in the world. It’s an experience for pilgrims, travellers and all to participate in.

Markets trek (Morocco)Markets Trek is an ideal itinerary to combine sightseeing in Marrakech and moderate walking in the Atlas Mountains. The adventure begins in Asni where you’ll visit and enjoy haggling at the markets.
