How to help dogs get food?

Why did I choose my project?I choose my project because most dogs that

live in Detroit or Michigan are homeless.  They do not have much food.  I care for dogs so I thought of helping them get food.  Everybody likes dogs so it would be sad if they die.  So that is why we have to take care of the dogs.  That is why I choose my project.

      How can you help?You can help by donating dog food in the box out side our classroom.  Also by telling other people about donating dog food to some shelters.  You can donate canned dog food like April donated canned dog food.  That is how you can help me and the shelters.

        What did I do?  -I put flyer over the first floor so that people can see what they can donate.  -Also I put a box outside the classroom so that people can put the food in the box.   -I went to the Michigan Humane Society so that they know what I am doing.  - I also asked the person that work there some questions about what they do to to help the dogs.

1. What kinds of pets do you have?We have dogs,rats,rabbits, cats and we are now getting hamsters.2. What do you do to the pets when they first come in?We give them shots to see if they are sick or have any problems3. What kinds of food do the dogs eat?Some dogs we feed them

diet food and other dogs that are not on a diet we give them regular food that they can eat.4. Do any of your dogs have health problems?Some sre sick of course.  We have to determine how serious the problem maybe.  If we can make a dog better,great.  Each one is determined on an individual basis.

The Michigan Humane Society has Dogs,Cats,Rabbits,rats and they

were getting hamsters.

This is another picture that I took.  The leash hanging from the cage is used to put on the dog so that they can be put in their cage or when the have to be taken out of their cages to take a shot or to have a walk.  So when the family come in that is going to take the dog they go on a walk.

This is a poster of a dog that was in the pool that had sun glasses on and had been adopted by a family.

The Michigan Humane Society never put down animals that need help.  They feed them every day and make sure that they take their medicine.

This is another picture of a dog that is eating it's food.  The people that work at the shelter give the dogs great care.They also give them food that they know is good for that type of dog.

These are 3 little puppies that got picked up by somebody and he did the right thing to take them to the Michigan Humane Society.

This is a pup named Rainy. Rainy is a pup that is suppose to be bigger but the owner said that she doesn't wag her tail. She will not eat and she will only run when the man owner comes in.This pup is a runt because she is the smallest of the family.
