Camera Notes- Sony DSR-PDX10 Focusing with a zoom lens: - put the focus switch on “manual” - use the zoom control lever to zoom all the way into your subject (pressing T for telephoto will zoom in, and pressing W for wide will zoom out) - turn the focus ring to bring the eyes of your subject into sharp focus. - Zoom out to your desired composition. White balancing: - put the auto lock switch in the center position

Camera Notes- Sony DSR-PDX10

Focusing with a zoom lens:- put the focus switch on “manual”- use the zoom control lever to zoom all the way into your subject (pressing T for

telephoto will zoom in, and pressing W for wide will zoom out)- turn the focus ring to bring the eyes of your subject into sharp focus.- Zoom out to your desired composition.

White balancing:- put the auto lock switch in the center position- press the white balance button- turn the selector dial to show the “manual white balance” icon

(show the three different icons in your manual- see if you can figure out which icon is which)

- zoom into a white object that is in the same light as your subject- press in the selector dial until the icon in the viewfinder stops flashing- the camera is now calibrated for the current lighting situation.

Adjusting Exposure- place the auto lock switch into the center position- press the exposure button- turn the selector dial until you reach the desired exposure.
