For Your Information: • FPC’s Nursery, located on the second floor, is available for infants and children ages 5 and younger.

• FPC encourages children ages 6 and older to attend worship. Worship bags for children of all ages are located in the lobby.

• Bibles and large print hymnals are available in the back of the sanctuary • Amplified hearing aid devices are available from an usher

Deacon Care Ministry • Tan “Prayer Request” Cards are used for prayer requests. As requests are received, the Board of Deacons will offer prayers.

• Blue “We Care” Cards are for messages of care to persons of the congregation. Cards are available in the pew racks. Please place the cards in the offering plate.

* DOXOLOGY (Hymn No. 592)Communion today is by intinction (dipping the bread into the cup). There will be four serving stations at the front of the sanctuary. Please come forward using the center aisle. The two outside cups, farthest from the center aisle, contain wine. The center two cups contain grape juice. Go to the serving station of your choice, and return to your pew by the side aisles. Those in the balcony or side pews are asked to make their way to the center aisle as well. If you are unable to come forward, remain seated and you will be served in the pew.

The rosebuds in the chancel are in celebration of the birth of James Joseph Lewis, born May 28 to Philip & Kristy Lewis, Maple Hill, KS. He is the great grandson of Jimmie & Mitzie Lewis, and Peggy & Bill Medina are his great Aunt and Uncle.

Joseph Charles Sutherland was born on May 30 to Sally & Jay Sutherland. He joins his sister, Lillie Myers and brothers, George Myers and Carter Sutherland.

Summer Soul-stice begins this Tuesday, June 5th at 9:30 am in the Hope Rm. Come enjoy (via YouTube) a funny, sweet, ever so inspiring graduation speech given by Kelly Corrigan (author of The Middle Place) delivered to the 8th grade graduates of the Hamlin School (2011). Then let’s reflect on our own 8th grade years and share our dreams/advice for cur-rent 8th grade girls. Led by Melinda Jett and Pam Harrell. Childcare can be made available with advanced notice, please contact Tom Reid.

A Mission Project!

Salina’s Annual Back to School Fair will be held this summer to benefit local children and families. The Fair provides free services and entertainment to families that receive free or reduced lunches. Valuable and basic services such as medical screenings, haircuts, and school supplies, are provided.

The goal is to collect 500 items total...and we need the entire con-gregation to help! There is no limit to the number of items you may bring; monetary contributions will be accepted.

June 19: “The Power of Relationships - Essential Elements of Connection” drawing upon the growing body of research in neurobiology, this interactive ses-sion will explore the benefits of being in relationships, and focus on the key aspects of relationships that soothe the brain. Led by Paula Fried.

July 3: Snap, Crackle , POP! Get ready for some “fireworks” by meeting with thenew editor and publisher of the Salina Journal, Olaf Frandsen. Hear what he’s thinking, discuss some of the current “hot” topics, and find out what he thinks makes for front page news in Salina, KS.

Men’s Groups are currently meeting, contact Tom Reid to start a new one!
